If you had $3500 to spend what designer bag(s) would you buy?!

I love Chloe and the Marcie is great. They had it in a deep burgundy red when I looked a couple of days ago, gorgeous! I will check out Celine then as I do like the look of the Trapeze!

I love the look of the Marcie, and the ability to to wear it multiple ways, but I ultimately sold mine for a couple of reasons: the opening is small in comparison to the overall size of the bag, so it can be a pain (both figuratively and literally if you scrape your hand on the zipper) to get things in and out. Unlike the Balenciaga City bag, which can be opened very wide, the Marcie cannot. Also the shoulder strap is really skinny and can dig into your shoulder if the bag is loaded and heavy. Just my experience, but be sure to really try the bag, with your stuff in it, if you're considering that model.

Thanks, may not be too practical then. That's good to know, I tried it on but must admit I never put my things in it. Another shopping trip required!;-)

Extremely late update, I know :-). I was at Chanel and found a beautiful seasonal flap but I could psychically not manage to spend so much on a single bag so ended up purchasing the Y-Yen wallet and a small zippy wallet instead plus went for a Mulberry Bayswater and the rest of the money I squandered on boots and days out etc. No regrets, thanks so much everyone for your suggestions!

My vote will always go to Delvaux. :p

Classy, great quality, and even older than Hermes. Their styles like Brillant and Tempete will probably exceed 3500 unless you get them in Belgium, but their lesser known styles like Le Pin and Givry will definitely be in your price range and are very versatile and understated.:smile1:
