hmmm, tough one. I think damier speedy OR a black epi alma. They are worry free and understated but their drawback is that they are not summery, lol. I have more mono than anything else but I wouldn't always want that mono look and damier and epi go more under the radar.
You are right about the damier going under the radar, speedydelivery. I bought my first damier piece a few weeks ago, the Saleya gm, and she is much more suptle than the monogram. Nobody seems to know she's LV!!Also as you say, not very summery!!
only one LV? hmm, that's a toughie. well, for me, it would have to be vernis and as for the color, although i lvoe all of the colors (esp pomme, amarante, and fuchsia), i guess i'd have to go with amarante. actually my very first LV (back when I thot I would only have one) was amarante vernis Rosewood 
but if i could only get *one*, i'd guess i'd get the summit drive, since it's little bigger.

I just got the Trevi PM and I love her, but she's too small to take to work - my ideal bag would be one I could use for ANY occasion! 
But if I was only allowed to have just one LV and the price was not an issue, it would be the Mahina XL or Damier Trevi GM! Unfortunately, these are both over my personal price limit!
