If you can save more money getting a Speedy made in USA than made in France,

I'd pay the same and still want a U.S.-made Speedy. Someone told me that they're preferable for other reasons, but I buy American when I can. I just don't have a love affair going with French stuff despite the fact I own a fair amount.

I would save the $100, I don't care where it's made. My Alma and Pochette Accesoiries and made in the USA. My Speedy 40 and Poche Toilette are made in France. I don't see any difference in quality of the bags.

Most of my bags are made in U.S..
I would rather save $100 and spend it for something else. So many fakes have made in France stamp..I haven't seen any fake Made in USA.
So incase I want to sell it someday, people will know it's authentic..

That's what I thought, too. I've never seen any fakes made in USA before and all of the fakes I've seen are made in France. So, I guess, that is a plus side of getting made in USA one
:p

I live in the UK, and out of all the LV pieces I have seen, owned or my friends own, I have never seen one made in the USA. Mainly, I have seen ones made in France and a few items that are made in Spain. So, I probably would pay more to get an LV thats US made, cos they're so unusual over here.:p

Hmm, I really don't understand what's the difference... Is that all just in the mind..? LOL Or are there any obvious pros for those made in France LVs..?

For me, I want "Made in France" for the bags that display their origin on an outside tag, ie, the Speedy. It just seems to look better, IMO, when it says "Louis Vuitton Paris Made in France" than "Louis Vuitton Paris Made in USA." I have been told numerous times that there is absolutely no difference in the bags...all the materials come from France anyway. The USA bags are just assembled in USA.

You know I couldn't care less where it's made. I have a good friend that works for LV and she told me managers from France are constantly coming here to check the factories for quality control, etc, to make sure they are all up to LV standards, so I couldn't care less.

Agreed. I really don't understand what all the fuss is about. LV wouldn't let factories in other countries make lesser quality goods just because they aren't in France. Makes no difference to me.

Hmm... good point about no fakes made in USA as of yet, but I still prefer the speedy to be made in France since it has that huge tab on the outside like Bjara said. :p
