If you can only get 1 Hermes Kelly bag ever, which one would it be (size, leather, hardware, color combi) and why?

This is an interesting question! For me, the One would be a 28 retourné in black box with either GHW or PHW (I have this bag with GHW in my collection), because, when I try to predict how my personal taste, aesthetic and pursuits might evolve over my lifespan, I think this is the classic combination that would be the most likely to remain continuously relevant to my taste and needs.

Black Box GHW, too, but in Sellier for me - also 28 or maybe 32 depending on your frame. I love both sizes.

For my first bag, I asked the same question and decided it to be:

• K32 (can’t stand small bag)
• black (classic, forever, easy to match)
• GHW (kelly is prim and classic)
• retourne (love how the leather flows instead of being rigid)
• togo (easy to maintain yet can be repaired) - wouldn’t mind Chevre but not available for such size.

If I were to have one bag, this would be it as it can be used as a hand-held, crossbody (with a longer strap) and shoulder bag.

Here it is with my B35. With these two, I am set for life.
