Hi everyone, I'm new to Hermes and would like to get your honest opinions on my very first Kelly bag. I'm only planning to get 1 Kelly but I cannot decide which one to get! What do you think?
If you can only get 1 Hermes Kelly bag ever, which one would it be (size, leather, hardware, color combi) and why?

For many of us, our initial Kelly was likely black. What size are you interested in & what leather
are you liking? Have you tried various sizes in the Hermes shop to see what is comfortable
for you? I'm guessing that you would like to be able to use it for during the day?

Gold K25 or K28.

I have only one Kelly and it’s exactly what I wanted. Black Togo 32 with PHW. I wanted my Kelly to be an everyday bag so the combo I have is perfection for me.
Kelly 32 box leather sellier with gold hardware. So chic and classic!
I'm debating between 25 vs 28, epsom vs togo, retourne vs sellier..
Haven't got a chance to try the different sizes in stores as they are always not available.
Yes! Would like for it to be as versatile as possible, to use it during the day and various occasions.

I'm around 5'5 in height, not sure if 32 will look too big for me. 
Don't have one yet but I also only want one Kelly. My dream is a K28 or 32 retourne togo. Colors: etain, vert de gris, or similar

There are many questions you need answer before any advice can be relevant to you.
You need to understand why you want a Kelly.
Is it as a decoration or an ornament in your room?
Are you going to use it as a bag?
Would that be to carry a few items when going out to lunch?
Would it be a work bag?
Would it matter to you if it co-ordinated with your clothes?
Do you want it to shout its presence?
Does it matter if it is proportional to your size?
Yes, of course, that was a list if snarky questions.
But they show that almost ant recommendation could be wrong.
It's easy to understand the general desire to own a Kelly. They are very covetable.
But when you start to make the steps towards ownership, you need more idea of why you want one.
Can you see that your question is like asking for advice on buying a car.
There are just as many options: a sedan; a convertible; a jeep; a people carrier.
Here is my contribution: my one and only. K32 retourne black w GHW. Why?1. sellier, while beautiful, is boxy to me. I prefer the softness of retourne. Also, I don’t know why but I feel that not many brand can do elegant and clean retourne bags while others can do really good sellier-shaped bags.
2. mini bags do not suit me and my wardrobe. 32 is my perfect size for my 5´4 frame. Also good from practicality point of view. This is my everyday bag and I refuse to have a collection (you know, Kondo method, concious consumption and all that)
3. kelly is a classic shape so as I will only have one until I am 90, it’s got to be with classic colour and hardware. Thus, black and GHW
PS: the red is a bonus. I was offered an SO so I chose red for a personal reason but otherwise, would be happy w a black GHW.

If you want to use it everyday I would choose K28 togo gold phw retourne / k28 togo etoupe ghw.
If you want to use it for dinners and more formal occasion I would go with K25 box black ghw/ K25 gold epsom ghw
