If this is the future of Coach, I outta here!

Why am I the only one who's open to the future here?! I'm not particularly young, either! I think for all his aspirational themes the outcome of his handbags and small leather goods won't be so dark and edgy that they'll drive people away. I think the new bags coming are exciting, as well as the product that's on the shelves now. I really think there is something for everyone here. I didn't care for the bags in calendar year 2014 at all and now I'm excited. Many iterations of the Dakotah bag now out and it seems there's something for everyone who likes a shoulder bag style. There's still plenty of classic styles there for those who like it. I adore the Swagger! Wait until I get my hands on the Rose Gold metallic leather Swagger. Recently, I bought the Whiplash folio style wristlet that is big enough to hold what I need and small enough to put inside a tote. That leather is divine, and the wristlet/clutch is edgy with the whipstitch hardware. I love the look!

I'm excited to see what the coming months bring.

You aren't the only one and I for sure am not young!

That I get. I'm 45, and I like unusual/urban art. I'm a HUGE fan of Tokidoki and carry the bags regularly. I think bags are a great medium for it.

I don't get the audience for "runway" clothes. When/where do people actually wear "runway " styles?

Totally agree. Baseman is famous and produces some interesting things.

50+ Here and I'm totally open to a new edgier Coach. I have found their styling to be a little dated the last few years and think it's time for a change. The recent styles with grommets and dark hardware have really got my juices flowing. I may be weird but I like the dark, bad girl idea.

Me too, I just noticed that LOL

I went to Coach yesterday and while I love the Swagger in Puce, black on back and I can imagine the Rosegold and metallic are lovely IRL (my store did not have them). The $495 price tag was a deal breaker for me. I also like the Kitt Carryall in Ocelot but no way that bag is worth $495!! I am thinking the Coach price gods have lost their minds. I have noticed that there are fewer and fewer reveals of the newer styles and I am convinced a lot of it has to do with price. That many of us are waiting for Dept store sales or the Semi Annual sale. I have paid more than $500 for some of bags but I have to feel they are worth it. And the Swagger and Kitt, though I like them, I don't like them THAT much.

Also I feel that Coach is holding onto the same inventory for longer. I know we have all complained in the past about Coach quickly sending full price to the outlet. But to be honest I feel like I have been looking at the same old Rhyders and Crosbys for 6 months and I am sick of seeing them. And this is probably because I have been scouring dept store sales where before I just waited for the next PCE. When a couple of them first came out I vowed to wait for sales but now that the dept store clearance sales are on, I am tired of seeing them and no longer want one. Wonder if I will feel this way about Swaggar and Kitt by the time they are marked down

+1 I love the new styles. Did not buy much Coach for a long time, and some of these styles brought me back. I have purchased several bags from the SV collection including a Rhyder 33 and Whiplash Taxi tote. I really like the whiplash and gunmetal on some of the handbags.

Have you seen the Tatum Stud tall tote in light apricot/gold? I had a hard time putting it down!
