You've got to be ~35+ to understand those references, so who are they targetting?
90s is so in! Have you been to forever 21 lately? Nirvana shirts, acid washed and stonewashed jeans and fake-o doc martens are on the shelves. And those poncho things we used to call rugs were there a few months ago.
Makes sense to pull out the OG riot girrrls.
Wow, I haven't been to Forever 21 in months; to the best of my knowledge, there is only 1 in my state, and when I make it to that mall, Macy's and Bon Ton are my priorities.
I still have my purple Docs from the early 90's; sounds like I need to find some purple polish so I can wear them again (I used to skate in them, so the toe on 1 has no color).
He doesn't make me sad, but I still think he needs a cigarette in his mouth because it looks like he's waiting for the firing squad......
I don't get the direction i'll openly admit that, the one dress reminds me of the sort kids wore in the 70's as toddlers. That said the repeated comments on the models weights? hmm seen way worse and of coarse as someone who is naturally thin/petite i have a differing perspective, i do dislike the sullen attitude but then i have kids lol been there done enough of that thank you very much, i don't need to see it on the brand of purse i buy models.
The first time i saw that i thought the exact same and cannot shake that.
It's not a matter of perspective - you're not in the same situation unless you're also starving yourself and doing possibly permanent physical damage to your body and especially your internal organs. Bodies that don't get enough food start feeding on themselves, and no can tell me that's healthy.
We're talking about women and girls, sometimes under 16, who are forced by the fahion industy to become "hangars" because the designers want the models to come as close to disappearing as possible so as not to overshadow the clothes.

Yep, fashion model starvation is bad enough, but simulated executions? Not the kind of thing I see as a fashion statement, especially in light of so many recent news stories.
That's the thing that I don't understand. Also, if you're old enough to get where this is all coming from, you'll most likely feel too old to be wearing this stuff again. Isn't there a saying about not wearing trend a second time around?![]()
Yeah, no backsies.
That's why I can't bring myself to buy any of the bags from the C.O.A.C.H collection. I had neon bags and accessories back in the 80s and early 90s.
Then again, I saw those clog-like shoes on the website and I was tempted. Those were another thing I owned in the 90s, but they were so comfy!
