How does it usually work? i.e.: Is the VIP sale the first day? Is the general sale open to the public, or does one need an invite?

I'm so excited! I hope we can get confirmed dates soon. This will be my first sale.
Haven't heard yet but its always that week as Cavalier Girl mentioned. Day 1 is usually the VIP day and after that you line up. I've been there the last few years on the Saturday and never had to queue. I always manage to pick up a few scarves and smellies as xmas gifts. the best of the bags and smaller leather items are usually gone by then though. The March one this year I did have to wait in line for about 30 minutes. I'll be 38 weeks PG for this Sept Sale so don't think i'll be making it
Someone please inform me on this sale regarding prices and inventory in comparison to Paris. I'm asking bc I'm wondering if it is worth a trip to NYC?
If the private sale is on the 23rd (a Thursday), they must be planning for fewer total days for the sale. The last several sales have had the private sale day on a Tuesday and then opening up to the public for the remainder of the week. I also heard a rumor the venue might be different for this one. Anyone else???
Last March the VIP sale was on a Tuesday with the public sale starting on Wed - Sun.
I have not heard that they are shortening the days.
Samaski - you are right if the private sale is on a Thursday than public would be all day Fri and Sat. Half of Sunday due to employees time to shop the sale is on Sunday morning.
If the private sale is on the 23rd than I am out because I have a huge event in the showroom that day....BLAH....I am so bummed out
