They have checked names in the past. I wouldn't take the chance since you would be standing in line. Prob best to wait for the public sale and have certainty that you will be able to get in.

The private sale is the same as the public sale-----you simply have access to the sale/merchandise a day earlier.

Toronto has a sale every other year with scarves, SLG, ties etc. The last one was May 2009 so I expect the next will be May 2011.

Yup...it's planned for May 2011 pursecrzy... can't wait! My SA confirmed it for me the last time I saw her. I found the last one quite overwhelmingly crowded, so I'm going to try to go much earlier this time around. Hope to see you there!

went to the sale at wall street on wednesday...

not worth it at all...only had XL and XXL....and they only had 2 racks of nothing on sale...

Thanks for the info! I found last year's event quite crowded also but worth it as I was able to pick up a few items..my friend called them last month and Hermes said that they had an event earlier this year in March @ MTCC and was planning one for September???
