Hello to all!
I need help to find out what this Louis Vuitton pouch / envelope is.

I have this pouch, I did some research and it turns out that it is a pouch that comes out for the lunar new year. It's in leather. In 2017 there was an envelope with a rooster and this one seems to be from the year 2019.

There is very little information about it, apart from a few people saying they may have had it but there were only one or two in each shop. Others say that it is a VIC only pouch.

I phoned customer service, but they couldn't find it in their database.

I am sure there is an explanation. Who has ever seen these bags in a shop? How much do they cost? Are they rare? Are they authentic ?

We won't authenticate here, but these were gifts, were not available for purchase. They have a model number too, but only for internal use, never made available for the public to know. It is Empreinte leather without the Monogram embossing.
They also gift red paper envelopes too in a cute little box around that time of the year.

So they weren't for sale but they were gifts? there were many of them?

Weren't for sale ever. Only the Paris HQ knows the exact numbers, but based on what I've seen here and on Instagram, most big spender Asian clients got one. And I guess that is at least tens of thousands or people, so I wouldn't say that it is rare at all.
