@Pinkie* - if you're still experiencing a problem, try this:
Click on member image icon top right, to the left of alert icon. Scroll down to preferences and select. At the preferences screen, make sure the box next to "and receive email notifications of replies" is unchecked. Attached is a screenshot of my preferences and I don't receive email notifications. HTH
