I wore my Alma monogram PM and felt like a "fuddy-duddy".

"I felt the same wearing my Turenne PM a couple of days ago - it was my favourite bag and I have not worn it out in years! Still love that bag though.'

Do you plan on wearing your Turenne again, or leave it in your closet for a long time again? I used to love my Alma Monogram too!!!! I will try wearing my Alma Monogram again in the near future and see if I feel bettter about wearing it!!! I will put my new Monogram key pouch on it as a "bag charm" and see if that helps.

Oh, no!! Don’t feel like that! Look, you are ahead of the trend! This photo was in an article in Vogue about the bags that will be on-trend in 2023!

I know we care about what other people think, even if we shouldn’t, and we like external affirmations of our choices. We just can’t help that. I am certainly guilty of it and don’t like to carry my designer bags to work, so I won’t get judged by my coworkers.

Alma will always be beautiful and in style and I love it

Alma is always nice! But I know what you mean. I have the same feeling lately wearing my bags, although I don’t live in a very stylish town. I would love a bv cassette or a small loop, but I refuse to pay these prices!

Girl, sounds like your rocked that Alma! It is a classic, while lots of those It bags, come and go at the drop of a hat. Maybe you can try a strap, or chain or some satin twillys wrapped around the handles for a different look.

Thanks for your ideas. I will try tying a bandeau on the handle!!!

Sometimes when I feel "out of love" with a piece, I will look up the bag and styling tips on Pinterest for some fun ideas and I will realize how great it looks on others and why I bought it in the first place.

We all feel "kind of strange" with a bag from time to time, but the Alma really is a classic piece so I don't think you made a wrong purchase. You're must not vibing with it at this moment.

Guys y’all mentioning speedy DE30 no strap makes me rethink since no one wears it now but I also don’t like to wear same things like the pochette Métis at first it was heaven I didn’t see a soul with it but that changed and I see one or four carrying the same bag even fakes. So it’s like idk if I prefer a popular bag or a bag that’s not popular and you don’t see people wearing the same.

Also style comes and goes, I bet near future regular normal speeds will have a comeback and I’ll have mine ready!

Ha, this is one of the reasons I sold my Speedy 20. Even with the on-trend thick guitar strap, the shape of the bag just started to look dated to me. I wore it for 7 months before selling it and never saw a single other person in my area wearing it, and got maybe 2 compliments on it (when it was brand new) the whole time. It just started feeling like an old style to me and didn't love it anymore :(

I don't look at LV's as lifelong purchases I have to keep forever and ever. It's okay to fall out of love with a bag and sell it.

Thanks for sharing! Looking at this pic makes me want to instantly buy Alma bb in mono and wear it top handle :giggle::loveeyes::loveeyes::love:

It looks like these days everyone is either carrying small crossbody bags or large totes like the size of a Neverfull. You don’t see many people carrying medium handheld sized bags that much anymore. Maybe that’s why it feels dated. I prefer a medium sized bag because I carry too much. I noticed a lot of women out in Central London carrying small crossbody bags including a lot with chain straps and a canvas tote on the shoulder to carry extra things.
Totally get that. I am also a medium sized bag gal. Could never use mini bags, but I do use large tote bags because they fit everything and I hate taking two bags, e.g. I often see people carry two bags, like one handbag and another for their work food or groceries. I prefer just carrying one bag.
They definetely should do more medium sized bags!

I have two Almas… a PM I actually purchased for my mom in 1998 (took it from her closet when she passed away in 2020) and a BB I purchased this year. I think Almas are such a classic shape. I have worn the PM out and I don’t see it as old, just classic and timeless. I would be more concerned with trendy pieces becoming dated like the multi-pouchette or the coussins. The only issue I have with regular monogram Alma is the vachetta at the bottom. I haven’t decided yet if I should spray it to water guard it from stains.
