I agree about not using credit cards for bags. It just isn't worth it. I deposit the money and write the check for the credit card before I make the purchase when I buy online!

But everyone else is right about paying yourself first, asking for GC for holidays and saving what you would otherwise spend on other things. It all adds up really fast!

My mom was talking about how she has no idea what to get me for Christmas next year...even though it's WAY early, and I said gift cards. One of the first ones I mentioned was Coach and she rolled her eyes. I was like WHAT, mom?!?! You can get me 25 bucks and that'll help me out big time! Jeez, don't try to help me feed my purse obsession or anything.

I'm so trying not to be an enabler, but you could sign up for a cc with 0% intro. hahaha But you have to be very responsible. :p

Right now I'm saving cash each week for the handbag I've been drooling for...

I agree with what everyone here has said. I refuse to use my CC too but it's not that I'm so responsible-just that dh would KILL me!

Right now I'm saving for the bag I want and I'm not there yet but I'll just have to keep saving. I also look for bargains around ebay (but be careful on there!) and one of these days I may actually make it to an outlet.

The problem for me is that while I am saving for this one bag, and yet I already have my eye on 2 or 3 others! My eyes are bigger than my bank account :rolleyes:
