“The Cartier Love bracelet history. Its oval shape means it sits tight around the wearer's wrist, that's physically screwed on to signify the permanence of true love, since two people are needed to secure the screws. Ever since then, the Love bracelet has become a symbol of love and commitment due to this design.”

I doubt Cartier ever will alter this (thus the cuff and small versions).

By the way, I can put on off the bracelet by myself with full ease. I reckon it wasn’t that easy with the original version where the screws were totally detached.

And I wish Cartier won’t ever go that crazy route like Bvlgari (big price increase).

It's a good thing I can put mine on myself...The one time my husband tried it was a disaster!! Apparently the screwdriver is just not manly enough for him. Or he was trying to get out of the task altogether. lol.

As you mentioned they already moved away from this story by creating the cuff and small version , so making the new improved bangle wouldn’t be a big deal. They could make the old and new locking mechanisms since most of people don’t buy these bracelets as a special love symbol anymore. And many would appreciate the convenience over the legend.

My DH bought my Loves as a symbol, not as shackles however, lol
I think it would be odd to offer the Love in the existing small and regular plus an in-between size. There'd be little incremental difference between each thickness at that point. If anything I could see them making an oversized Love, although it wouldn't appeal to me.

Didn't they already do that? Or am I misremembering completely?... O_o

I understand the original meaning behind the Love bracelet, but what about us- girls who are single, divorced or those, whose husbands don't know anything about jewelry? I'm divorced and I bought myself the cuff because I can't sleep in my jewelry and I like to change my bracelets. I love the cuff, but if Cartier would come up with an easier closure for the full bangle I would go for it. Many women just love the look of it. I personally don't like girly jewelry like VCA, I prefer little bit more masculine / industrial looks and clean modernist geometrical lines.

It would be great if Cartier provide us all with more options.

I don't think the Love is regarded as for couples only, I just said my DH liked the symbol of it and bought me mine.
My BFF bought herself one and intends to get another!
Cartier has lots of other options IMO, I have the Love & JUC but also want a Clash and Etincelle.

I prefer Cartier's cleaner esthetic as well  I also like the Chopard Ice Cube line.

I like Clash too  I just don't know how it will look with my YG cuff and unfortunately we don't have Cartier boutique in Palm Desert. I would have to order it online or drive 2hrs to LA area.
