I wish Cartier would . . .

More colorful pieces. More gemstones. I was only starting to get into Cartier shortly before they discontinued the rainbow love and it’s a big regret of mine. At the time, I wasn’t sure how well it would age…and if I’d be over it after a couple years but I’m still thinking about it now and the prices for the secondhand market are too high for my liking for used. Rainbow sapphires were having a moment and I wasn’t sure if it was really me or just trendy…now I realize it is. I just love rainbow/multicolored pieces.

1. Make a pavé full sized Love bracelet that stacks with the classic ones (same thickness)
2. Make the pavé Love ring full size in yellow gold
3. Actually keep their things in stock in at least every other size in some color so they can be tried on in concept in situ
4. Have way better eBoutique customer service; or any at all
5. Bring back the 6-diamond Love bracelet
6. Relaunch the Maillon Panthere collection and make it a focus
7. Make the Panthere watch in a men's size
8. Make more rings in men's sizes
9. Be consistent in their pricing for special orders and re-sizings of existing pieces
10. Get their act together to be able to tell you for sure what pieces can and can't actually be re-sized in what ways
11. Add some manpower to their work shops so special orders can come within 3-4 months
12. Change its overall customer service attitude to the way it used to be 10 years ago where they felt it was a privilege to have you in their store and not that it is a privilege to be able to buy something from them
13. Keep their packaging elegant while also making it more eco-friendly
14. Continue the trend of showing more people of color as models on their web site (you'll note this basically NEVER happened on the individual jewelry piece pages before a few years ago)
15. Offer a (fee-structured) authentication service - this would cause the value of their brand to go UP because people would not buy the fakes and the resale prices of used items would go UP which would cause people to be more inclined to pay full price for something new because it's not so much cheaper anyway
16. Actively pursue legal action against eBay sellers and auctioneers selling clear fakes (items marked Cartier with serial numbers like CRD80933 which are clearly not real)
17. Actively pursue legal action against foreign counterfeits seen on Instagram
18. Feature more LGBTQ people more visibly in their engagements section on their web site
19. Make the Ballon Bleu a higher level of water resistant so I can wear it in the shower or pool without water seepage

But who asked me? Funny, for a brand I say I like so much, I've got a lot of issues.

I know it’s not possible with the twist mechanism but I do so wish they would make a JUC in the thin size in pavé… and for me I would definitely want it in RG (hopefully they are reading this and will come out with a solution) ;)

Made a slight adjustment to the above since we all know that Cartier will continue to innovate...;)
