I made a limit of 10 bags for myself. I used to want more and more and never used some bags. They also required maintenance, so I came up with this number. Now I have a rule one in, one out. I created a list of capsule collection with bags I needed for different occasions. I acquired them at my own pace and switch if I see something better. It all started when I decided to have more of minimalistic lifestyle, so it’s not only bags. HTH

I do very little maintenance on my bags. But I'm pretty careful with them so they generally don't show much wear.

Yes, I could have two bags and wear them to death, having to replace them every year, or I could have 20 bags, wear them less, and have them last 10 years or more. The bag I'm carrying today is over 50 years old but doesn't look it.

More and more I read about everyone's input, I think its doable to keep it at a limit of 10ish.

While I'm not a hoarder by nature in any definition of the word, I have decided to sell a bag that I LOVE to look at but never wear bc its a shoulder bag and let someone else enjoy the bag. I'm going to feel good about it I think.

I don’t have a limit too, but I do have a small space to store my bags and I hate selling. Even though others would say it’s a waste of money, whenever I get a chance to go back to my hometown, I bring those that I don’t use that much anymore there. Bigger storage and at least, I have varieties to choose from whenever I go on holidays there.

But like you, when I like something I tend to want multiples (I don't have any multiples yet in bags, slgs, yes), I'm just trying to fight the need vs want battle.

I just purchased the Marignan - it's a crossbody and has a top handle! I love it, just thought of it when I saw your post :-)
