I think I've completely cracked

And I blame this forum! Kidding, of course.
1) Do you think it's worth bringing up the idea for a 10th wedding anniversary ring?
2) Do you think a solitaire would be seen as acceptable?
3) Or maybe a 3 stone would be more appropriate? My husband will have no problem spending the money, but convincing him to pick something out is going to take months of my insistence.
4) Do you think it's worth it to make it an issue I'll have to press my husband on, given that I have a nice ring already?
5)Am I being greedy?

That was long. Thank you for those who got through it!

Hi VintageFinds!! I like your post and the questions you ask - because these are things I think about often, too. So here's my opinion/answers:

1) I think so. Even if your husband isn't a jewelry shopper, 10 years is a long time and deserves a milestone marker!

2) A solitaire would be appropriate, but I would probably suggest one with flourish (halo, intricate design, etc.). It has been 10 years after all.

3) Definitely! But if what you want is a solitaire, request a solitaire. If it is diamonds you want, for a 10th anniversary, a 3-stone would be beautiful.

4) I think it's worth pressing your husband to pick out something you would like. It could also be in the whole way you present the idea to him that makes the difference.

5) Possibly, but this is something you've wanted for a long time. I know there are a LOT of things on my to-buy list. But after a year, or even 3 years, their priorities have dropped significantly. I look back and think, thank goodness I didn't take the plunge - these items would be just sitting in my closet. (If I had taken those plunges, they would have been wasteful and only purchased to fulfill a greed.) But a diamond is something you've wanted for this long. Since this isn't something that would put you into debt or increase whatever debt you may have, I think it is worth it. A diamond would be a much appreciated show of appreciation.

:)
