I'm glad you were able to return it, although sorry you are "syp-less". It's outrageous that Fendi is producing sub-standard bags. The whole idea of buying "luxury goods" is that the bag will last. I don't care if you use it every day for 5 years! It is supposed to look as good as the day you bought it! At least Vuitton will repair for life any of their bags.

Yeah! I'm actually not minding being spy-less TOOOO much now though, since I've heard I'm not the only one who is having problems. There is a girl on TFS who posted pictures of her spy leather actually rubbing off:amazed: And someone else said that its starting to happen to theirs too...this is making me seriously consider even getting another spy...but if I don't I'll have nothing to do with my $2000+ credit @ Fendi:suspiciou

And speaking of sub-standard, my SA told me that most of the spy bags in my color combo did have bent handles...the other 2 they had in store did...its just crazy. Totally unacceptable. I also saw another SA taking a scissors to a new spy bag they brought out and primatively cutting off any loose threads. I can see why cutting the loose threads would be a priority, but it also seemed like she was really rough with the bag and one of the cuts looked like it got a little of the leather:evil:

Okay I'll stop ranting now, I was just surprised at what I saw there:unsure:

Makes me wonder if the Fendi Sisters know about this. Go into the store on the day after Thanksgiving and demand a total refund - not just a credit. In front of all the potential shoppers. Kick up a great big fuss, make lots of noise.

These associates work on commission and I am sure they would miss your purchases if you didn't shop there. I know I would do what I could to keep a customer like you happy.

Also, depending on how you paid for the bag, you can put in a complaint with the credit card company stating the problem. If a recent purchase, they should block the charge until the dispute is investigated and cleared up.

Good luck.

as a retail worker myself, i'd say do exactly what the poster above me said to do - return policies are always negotiable if you make it advantageous for them to do an out-of-policy return.

I just want to offload the credit, I'm willing to take a few hundred dollars loss  This entire ordeal is horrible and I dont want to go through it again. I was thinking of buying a spy and selling it on ebay, but I don't know how much I can get for it there. It doesnt look like people are bidding on authentic ones there! Does anyone know how much spy bags retail on ebay? authentic? A lot of the ones I see going over a grand are fake.

I sold my spy at a loss on ebay because I really did not like it. It sold for $1650.00 and I paid $1980.00 for it. It was a camel spy. I even included the original receipt. It was brnad new. I missed the retun policy of 14 days. I say do not buy to sell on ebay at least bag. I think people are not buying as much on there as they use to. I have been selling for 5 years and the last year has been the slowest sales and things are going for so much less then last year. I think the fakes have reuined it for most sellers.

^^^so what would you suggest I do with my credit? I dont really see anything @ Fendi I am crazy about

I agree with JoV...go in there and be adamant that they give you a cash or credit card refund. You can be courteous as can be and still get that point across. Ask for the manager's manager....and so on. Ask for a corporate phone number, explaining you will not back down. Tell them about the forum and that a lot of people's perception of this particular store is on the line depending on how the situation is handled.

Noriko, YOU have the power.

You go girl! ;)

^^the thing is, they make you sign a statement saying that they do not refund cash etc and only issue credit. I dont know what would happen if I called my cc company and told them about the defective items. I didnt get the spy that long ago so many there is still a chance they can do something for me. This totally BLOWS! I'm at the point where I just want to get rid of this credit even if I take a slight loss. I'll try those options though, thanks people!

I would agree with them, saying yes I signed this....

HOWEVER, also say in your wildest dreams you would never have imagined that the merchandise you signed the agreement for would be defective...tell them you don't want something that the SA has to clip threads off of....or has a bent handle....a company of this caliber should have PERFECT merchandise. No exceptions.

Tell them you don't want a credit or an exchange for any more inferior merchandise...and they certainly won't like your suggestion of you establishing a boycott against their store.....which is what I would do. A nice big sign in your back window of your car, telling people to stay away would work wonders...

Tell yourself that you will be getting a refund....imagine yourself getting it...and don't take no for an answer.

If I lived there...I would do it for you! I'm so ready! LOL

Keep us updated. ;)

Okay, I called the CC company, but the dispute screens were down. The cc rep said that it doesn't look good though. If the cc company contacts the merchant and the merchant says they gave me a store credit, they'll probably leave it at that. I am going to try anyway though, this is totally unacceptable! I wouldnt mind just selling a the bag I buy with the credit, but if its at that much of a loss like bagqueen said, forget it. The credit is worth almost $2200, and a loss of 600-700 wont do:suspiciou

Thats right! I am going to call the CC company again first though, I'd rather have it solved quietly if possible. I am just totally irritated at what is going on! I am a loyal buyer of designer goods, this **** should not be happening:laugh: :amazed: :suspiciou

Can you contact Fendi directly? I have been so upset before over a return that the tears started to flow...didn't hurt my case any. :toung:

Geez, even eluxury offers a 60 day direct refund policy.
