I want something different than a dangling solitaire, but not something I'd grown tired of. . .
I like this on, I guess I'll e-mail it to DH. . . I'm afraid he'll be buying a Cirle of Life soon and I am having 2nd thoughts.

I joked w/ my friend the other day that it semes to be part of the SAHM 'uniform' in my area. We all have similar stud earrings, tennis bracelets and the Circle of Life pendants seem to be becoming part of the uniform now as well.
I actually like it A LOT, and although I'm not trendy, I also don't prefer predictable. . . .
KWIM?

I think the pendant in the picture is a perfect compromise, the halo look is much more classic IMO, plus that style just seems much more substantial while being small enough to wear with everything.

The first time I saw the "circle of life" pendant, Orah was wearing it. I thought it was an "O" for Oprah! :shame:

I agree with the comments that the circle pendants will look dated. I really like the one in the picture you posted, Swanky!

Swanky: I totally agree that you should stay FAR AWAY from the mass-marketed pendant designs that have trickled down to Zales and Walmart. They look dated SO quickly and are SO overexposed. I'm talking about designs like the three-stone "Past Present Future" pendant, the "Circle of Life" pendant, and now this year's "Journey" pendant. There are so many other great unique designs out there!

how about this one or one similar?

I have one very similar to this. I wear it daily. It is a great piece to have. You also need to check out Jude Frances. They make jewley that is very versitle. I got huggie earring and the diamond charms to put on them and I also purchased a bail so that I could wear the charms as a pendant. They have all type of deisgns. I opted for fler de lis. Check out the pic. The circle and the fleur de lis are 2 seperate charms and you can wear them together or not. I wear them together.

Hmm, I'll put my thinking cap on Swanky. (Although I have to do some work for a while this afternoon!)

I take it that you're looking for a pendant that's clean, classic--not too big and blingy, and not too intricate/ornate/antique-y, right? Something that can go with jeans and a t-shirt or a little black dress?

How about Kwiat? (I can't copy pics from their site, but click on "Our Catalogue" and then "pendants." There are about 40 choices of pendants.)

Kwiat. Simply Brilliant

Another designer you might like is Charriol. There's also Penny Preville, who does some cute diamond pendants, although most of her stuff is more antique-y.
