I'm so sorry to hear that. I know how you feel. I lost my engagement ring a couple years ago and I was devastated. I still don't forgive myself for being so freakin careless. I hope you find your earring. Search high and low. It's gotta be where you last were when you realized it was gone.

If you have a super special pair of post earrings, you can have a jeweler put screw threads on the post and sell you backs (holders?) that require screwing on.

I will only buy diamond earrings that have screw threads, otherwise I will drive myself crazy all day feeling them to make sure they are in my lobes.

There's a chance the earrings are in your home or on your property (lawn, car, etc)... take more deliberate look.

I once took a tumble and didn't realize the diamond from my ring fell out of its setting. I raced back to where I had fallen, and couldn't believe my luck when I found my diamond had gotten stepped on and embedded in the soft tar in the sidewalk crack (this was in NYC during a hot summer)... good luck

Don't give up!! My mom found her lost earring after two weeks...sitting in the middle of the driveway. It may turn up yet. I'll be crossing my fingers for you.

Aw, I am sorry that you lost your earring, especially one with such sentimental value. I hope that you find it, and I hope that your baby is feeling better...I know how that goes!

I know its hard, but try not to panic..I lost my tiffany's heart neecklace for a couple weeks then found it in the pocket of one of my hoodies. I know thats not as expensive as a diamond earring, but it will probably turn up somewhere. Perhaps its stuck in one of your sweaters or shirts that you wore the day before? Or fell in a corner in your room?? Good luck - hope it turns up!!

so sorry it happened to you. two yrs. ago i lost my Ering when the movers were packing our things and had a bad habit of just leaving it in the counters and at that time it was not insured anymore because we sold our house and the insurance was a rider. needless to say, i was really devastated!the center stone was a 1.56ct marquise..it hursts! but DH was so kind enough to let me buy a new better and bigger stone last yr. so still it was a happy ending for me..
anyways, do you have a pet?:confused1:
i hope that your kid is better now and though it is sad to lost something with sentimental value but still it's a material thing that can be replaced! again, i feel for you and i am sooo sorry it happened to you! good luck!
