Its gorgeous! Such an improvement over that first sorry excuse of a repair job (I honestly can't even believe a jeweler would hand you that ring in that condition and allow you to walk out of their store like that!) Congrats on your beautiful new ring!

Thanks! Believe it or not I have even better fire shots :-) But my hands look HORRID in those shots. I learned something new today. When I hold my arm down my veins get HUGE and loose and curvy (yuck) but when I hold my hand up higher it got smoother and less veiny...by a lot. So either my veins are weak or my circulation sucks..lol.

All my super fire shots were with the ring (and my veiny hand) down low though..lol. I'm not to keen on sharing that :p
You are on crack. Post! Or at least email to me.

Is that not the truth?! The shame of it is, he's just one of SEVERAL that I have had the SAME EXPERIENCE WITH.

Ugh.

You are crazy!!! Your hands are sooooooooooooo nice! And to be able to handle 9mm means you mist have really long fingers too.. Paired with your small tiny tiny finger is envy worthy.

The set is beautiful and definitely is perfect. It looks more fluid than before and I'm glad he finally came through.
Aww! Thanks Whoops, but I just saw a picture of your ring in the reference forum and you have some mighty beautiful hands too! And when I look at your ring, I feel like it looks bigger than mine :-)

WOW. We need to start a jewelry nightmares thread LOL!

Congrats on your new piece, which is GORG!
Wouldn't that be a hoot.

Hah there isn't enough server space on TPF for my nightmares lol!

I agree and thank you!

What a story. Yikes. But the happy outcome makes it all worth it. Your new ring is very elegant and looks beautiful on your hand. Congrats!

wow, so pretty!! Looks amazing on your hand!

Congrats!!!

Thank you so much everyone!! :smile1:

That's a happy ending! I guess most jewellers are not used to customers like you and ame at all.
The 4-prong setting is really elegant.

You said it is a long story - did you post it somewhere else - why and how the ring had to be cut off?
Your hands look so slim, couldn't be due to weight-gain, no?

Wow, your set looks amazing now!!! I love how the bands aren't totally round; they look like they'd be super comfortable. Glad they were able to make things right for you this time. I agree with acrowcounted- I can't believe they would even hand you those rings in the condition they were in after their first round of "repairs." It doesn't take a jewelry expert to see all the flaws they left behind; I'm not an expert by far but I can tell you for sure that I wouldn't have been happy at all either!

Took a long time to get your happy ending, but it turned out gorgeous!

I guess not. That or people just put up with crap workmanship and never go back there and get it fixed elsewhere. If I am paying I expect perfection.

That's honestly I think my biggest issue with this place AND pretty much EVERYWHERE else I have gone locally as well as another in Houston that shall remain nameless. No one gives a crap about their work anymore. They act like you should just be happy you have it at all even if it looks like garbage. And if I am paying you for something, it better be damn perfect! It is totally obnoxious.
