I got some weird looks from other women...

I bet it looked so cute ! Maybe you will start a trend in your area. I don't see that a lot in Boston where I live either except at the coach store on the displays. I would do it too though. Let me ask, can you do charms and scarves at the same time or just one at a time ?

honestly around here people don't do that either (they're just not as cute as you i suppose lol!) it COULD have something to do with the weather because i live in maine and thats much further up here than florida ;) the weather isn't always so cute so maybe that could be whY?

regaurdless, i don't ever see ppl doing it around here and the first time i saw it was on TPF. i would stare too if i saw you walking by with a hot bag with a hot scarf on it. i'd want to stare and drool and wish it was mine too ;)

jealoussssss!

I have a scarf and an initial charm on my bag and LOVE it!

Now, I remember staring at a white coach ali with pretty turquoise C scarf, thinking "wow, that's really pretty." I kept on watching as she went around the boutique! In hindsight I may have made this lady feel uncomfortable. (sometimes we don't realize what the other person might be wondering, is something out of place!)

Give 'em the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they were taken with how good it looked!

I think a scarf and charm/key ring is a good combo. The Coach fragrance print scarf and fragrance bottle key ring would look really cute together.

I don't know if I'd consider myself a genius. I've had those "what was she thinking" hair/fashion moments-like when I died my hair a really deep maroonish color (up against very fair skin) when I was much younger. I look at pictures of myself at that time and am horrified at how much I resembled Morticia Adams!

I'm sure it looked great! Hafta admit, I had never heard of doing this either until I joined tPF and I swear I have never seen it around here (Seattle) IRL.

If I did it, I'm sure the scarf would fall off or get dirty or both.

But for those who can do it with flair, rock on!!

I have noticed that people with no style or taste tend to walk around with a sick expression on their face. Poor dears!! Don't let them sway you-you are FABULOUS and they are not! :wlae:

Maybe they were thinking "why didn't I think of that" :) I didn't realize it could look so cute until I joined tpf either. My hair is not long enough but I would def wear one on my bag.

Everyone in my area seems to wear the same thing... a khaki signature. I bought a Carly pouch last weekend (my first khaki), and I was sort of afraid because I might look like everyone else. Then my mom gave me her legacy striped scarf to tie it on, and now it looks fabulous! :smile1:

Miner's Wife: I just had to let you know how excited I was to see that you live in the Adirondacks. My family has a house in Keene Valley, and the whole park is pretty much my sanctuary. Hope you're enjoying one of the most beautiful parts of the country! Oh, and decorate your bags with whatever you darn well please!:biguns:

I had never seen a scarf on a bag before until this forum. They just might not be used to seeing it that way.

Same here. I have never seen it here in Alaska. I have been here for almost 4yrs.

Previously I was in Abilene TX. Never saw it there. Before that in Dallas, and at THAT time I never saw it there. Maybe its there now

Just because nobody does it or has a strange look because they have never seen it does NOT mean they have no fashion sense.

There are many fashions that are exclusive to certain parts of the country.
