I like black and brown together too! Especially if you're wearing a lot of black, a different color bag is nice to add some color. And a whiskey bag with a pretty, brightly colored scarf with a black outfit, I think that'd be awesome!

:jammin: Thanks ladies!!! Sometimes a gal just needs affirmation, ya know? I actually have been gazing at this bag in different lights... even took it out of its sleeper bag and placed it on my bed... yes, I fell asleep next to it, and I woke up looking at it first thing in the morning light. :blushing: (Am I the only one like this? I just like to cherish/admire the newness and the presence of the bag for a few days before I even think about using it.) The whiskey color has such a glow to it, that I love it more and more!

Bags4Bubbles- I saw your Pond post, and I love that color as well! If I wern't so good at getting my bags dirty, I'd totally get that color. The leather will totally soften up and get yummier and more scruptious, so don't you worry! I do think the MJ Multipockets and this bag are in the same 'vein' of style... when i 1st got my Multipocket is was also stiff, but softened up beautifully.

I've found that in black, the more expensive designer leathers hold up a tad bit better than in Coach... I have 10 year old black Coaches that are still good to go, but the edges need touching up from time to time.... they wear a little whitish... but my MJ and my Fendi black leathers are black through and through.

That's one of the things I LOVE love love  about Coach Vintage leather. Baseball glove leather! *sigh* It just takes a lickin and keeps on tickin... it's truly a lifelong friend, always a pleasure to use/touch/smell... I'm totally besotted and gosh, I sound like I'm going to marry my bag, but yes, I do look forward to a long life together.

The one tiny thing that this bag is missing is feets.

Anyone remember the old J. Peterman catalogue??? They had a leather bag in there, called the Counterfeit Mailman's Bag... it was a similar leather in concept i guess... anyway, I remember the copy saying, "The first scratch will kill ya"... but it is all a part of the aging- patina process!!! Ok, I'll stop now. :supacool:

P.S. If I can dig up any extra fun money in the next few months, I may just try to pick up one in Black... followed by Pond. I really think this is such a perfect bag in details and finish, size... *sigh*
