even so, i wonder if this is something that is technically illegal, or considered copyright infringement. would love to know, if anybody knows the answer to this.
Really??!! Exact same layout AND design?? Hmm, you and I must be looking at completely different websites then. I, and quite a few others, barely see any similarities let alone 'the exact same layout and design'. Perhaps I need glasses. *goes off to schedule eye exam*
Now, to answer the question about copyright infringement. If Tiffany & Co. can prove they own the rights to their website design(s) then it would be considered copyright infringement, otherwise they (the site in question) cannot be culpable for wrongdoing.
