the travel tote is REALLY big. and i haven't seen nearly as many of those lately.

for you cc, you fill out an application (name, address, ssn) and they run a credit check and base your credit off that. i also think you may need to show them your debit card, too (well, i remember they ask for a cc. but i think a dc is okay). i *think* having a checking AND savings account helps. if you're approved, you'll get a paper that can be scanned so you can use it that day.

oo thankks thats very cooL!!

let me explain the problem is , i only have a limited amt of $$ in my bank acct and i have a check that will give me more then enough added to my acct to get the bag, but the check isnt form my banks so it takes days and days to clear and i want to get it before tehy are gone,,,,

So if i can get a c c from them then i can just pay it later, but if i cant i dont have enough on my card now to buy it so it would be a wasted trip,,,

see my dilema

and thats why i was going to do it online caus ei can use my moms macys card and just give her the $$ when my check clears

if you use your mom s card you will not get the discount... and it s not about how much money you have in the bank.. it shows them that you can be reliable.. for example, even tho u only have a debit card, it is linked to a checking account, and in order to keep a checking account you have to have some sort of responsability (technically), so that can be something they can use to establish credit. all you need to bring is a state ID and your debit card. they fill out eerything on the computer and let you know on the spot but dont go yet!! iw ill find out about the extra 20% (on top of the 15) tomorrow!

ok if you post here i can check it from my sidekick :) i am going to call tomorrow when they open and ask if they have the larger of these bags you think you saw and im going to ask them to hold it cause i for sure want the bigger one,,, then i guess ill go in around 3 my least fav time to go to the city BUT if its there and i can get a CC so i can make the purchase AND theres a discount! :) ill deal with rush hour!
