no there arent any catches... you could literally just open the card, get the bags, and never use it again! the only semi catch is the discount shows up when u get ur bill not right away, and if u have zero credit, they give u like 100 dollars to start, but u can always add money to the card and get the stuff u want!....
if u dont pay the balance in full at the end of the month, there are finance charges, just like any other credit card, but for opening the card the only exclusions are furniture (because they have a separate type of account for that), but it works on everything else!! that is the only time u get a discount off coach and fragrance, unless u work there!

and they had this weird black hobo thing, they also had the holiday patchwork and some beaded totes on sale.... along with everything else in the coach store, and somet things that arent there, like the straw bags, and a python bag, and a lot of carlys, and a lot of limited edition stuff, and a lot of summery patchwork, basically a lot of stuff.... and they have a BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG SHOE COLLECTION!!!

i am 10000000% positive i worked for macys for 3 yrs, including in the coach section... they lied to her if they told her she could not use it! matter of fact, a friend of mine opened a macys card last month and i used her card to get the discount on my bag!
yeah, i get those ones (i'm elite). and my mom has the gold card and i know she doesn't ever get good coupons.
i think it might vary by location. when i opened my card, i wasn't allowed to use it on coach, either.

maybe ill open a card,,, i dont have a credit card at all ( i use a bank card with a master card logo) im scared of credit cards cause i dont like to owe $$ but i dont shop @ macys often so i could jsut open it get the $$ off and hide it and never use it agian haha

ill have to ask and jsut make sure i can use it on the bag since its the only reason i would open it! hhehe
they lied to you about that... if u read the card, it says u can use it! the only stores that MAYBE they do that to are west coast stores, but that was before macys merged into one macys instead of having different divisions (they still have different divisions, but the divisions no longer have different price points and coupons, etc)
the trick with the macys card discount thing is u only get it the first day and the 2nd day u open it, and the discount does not show right away, it shows up on ur bill 3-5 days after the actual purchase
