This is very true! We can look in the computer and it can tell us colors they considered or produced one of, but it's not known which they'll choose to produce. A good example is the Sig. Striped Tote, right before the holidays it said it was a known SKU in pear and another color. Well, they never produced the pear! It would have been amazing if they did.

That's what I figured. I mean, of course no one could ever say for sure what colors a bag may be released in, in the future. Especially with a company like Coach who tends to re-release a lot of their styles in different colors every season.

I was all upset about not being able to afford this bag, but now that I've seen pictures of a fellow tpf-er with the regular ergo large tote in camel, I may get that as a more affordable alternative. The only reason I want the XL one is just because of the leather. I love the way it looks.

I inquired about a different color of the xl ergo & they told me only natural is in production .

I want this bag in brown or khaki ? she said natural is the only color & will not be made in any other color?

does this sound right to you guys? I would hate to buy this bag in natural & then have it made in other colors later on! This is an expensive bag & we should have more options!

I called Coach last night to inquire about the XL Ergo "it's sold out but on backorder and getting more stock this weekend, but I can place an order if you like." Currently it is only available in natural.

I also gave 10329 Ali and ask specifically "what colors is it available in" she stated black, white, natural and BROWN. Brown is not listed at Coach.com and I have never seen a brown Ali or a description of it as being available in brown. I also asked her if it was ever avail in pond. She said it was available for a very short time. I have also seen an Ali in Rose, but I didn't ask about that.

My thinking is that some colors and some styles are under the radar . . . when they state in their catalog or on the internet that "tuquoise" will be available 3/8 I believe there is a lot of pre-ordering going on and then it's sold out!

i.e., at Coach.com XL Ergo listing states Brass/Natural available 3/8. But it can be pre-ordered before they're restocked and then guess what? It's sold out!

I suspect that one would have to call everyday and ask "what colors is the XL ergo available in?"

I happened to work in the call center of Mattel Toys. . . (uhm Barbie collectors, the head fell off, the hair is falling out, arm fell off, why doesn't she have any underwear? Is it available in brunette, can I get another pair of shoes) that is just one toy!
. . . Coach collectors ~ I can have empathy for the "phone reps" they are inundated with calls from people like us. Don't ask them a yes or no question. They are sitting in cubicles, with wireless headsets. They have a call monitor hung up on the wall that tells them how many incoming calls they have, how many minutes the call has waited. When they put you on hold, they stand up in their cubicles and ask a co-worker the same question you just asked . . . because they are new, because they are not familiar with product, and products do go through production changes. And then you might get that seasoned Rep who knows everything. And, if you are really not happy about the way your call is being handled ask if you can speak to a manager!

Make make them get on that computer and search their product numbers! They have computer tracking for every call, every product inquiry, every reason for a return, complaint, and request. If you want another color, more colors, you need to call and write. Send letters to the Office of the President. send an email. They track all written correspondence as well.

I enjoy my Coach bags as much as the next collector. But, there is a lot of Coach, so much that gets shifted from boutiques to outlets, to ebay and everyother auction site. Coach is not losing any money. They want BRAND loyalty. They want you to buy their products again and again and again. Tell them what you want! Make them earn your loyalty!

Product design and planning has happened many moons in advance. Most Barbie dolls from design to retail is two years. They already know what's coming!

Way to go, cha cha! Be sure to model for us! I cannot even begin to afford this lovely bag but have the next best thing on it's way to me! (the large in camel!) At least one of us PF gals will own one!
