I went to the Coach boutique yesterday for the summer sale, I had shopped the sales before Mother's Day and didn't see anything I liked, but I was interested to see the full-size Bandit hobos on sale at 50% off. I called and ask the SA to put a peony Bandit on hold for me, because I don't own any bandits and I don't have any light pink bags but I do have some light-colored bags that I love in chalk, grey, tan, honey. But when I saw it I wasn't crazy about it - neither the color or the bag.

I tried all the Bandits, and I liked the darker colors better than the pink but I am just not wild about the bag - although they are beautiful bags, just not for me. One of the straps kept slipping off my shoulder and I just didn't like it even though I usually prefer hobos - although I have some satchels and totes that I love.

I was attracted by several bags, including the marine Cooper Carryall and the Ivy Rogue, but I fell for another bag that was totally unexpected. I'll give you a hint, it is a 1941 bag but not a rogue and it is nothing like a peony Bandit, any guesses?

Double Swagger?

Good guess! I got the Coach Double Swagger in Tobacco with Black Copper Hardware. The style number is 25133 BP TOB and the retail price is $795 but it was 50% off at $397.50.

I went there looking for something light and summery and I got this bag instead, but I love the details and I don't have any bags in a saddle or tobacco color.

Here are the pics and it is gorgeous, but I do have one concern that I will tell you about next, because I need advice.

The color changes with the light so the first 2 pics are with and without the flash. I love the oxblood leather lining with the tobacco.

I usually hang fobs on my bags (because it gives me an excuse to buy fobs!) but there is so much going on with this bag that I didn't hang one on the front. I did put my robot fob on the back of the bag but I may decide to take it off the bag.

This is gorgeous! I've had my eye one these but I'm just not sure about the size (might be too big for my needs). It's what I would have picked of not a Rogue and the Bandit doesn't work for me. I like the robot fob. You could take the hangtag and clochette off to clean it up and put on your other fobs.

Now let me tell you about my concern, this bag was brand new, it was totally wrapped and sealed and heavily protected by plastic and foam.

All I've done so far is unwrap it and set it on my kitchen table, which is a smooth laminate surface. I haven't loaded it up or carried it anywhere. Last night when my husband came home I showed him my new bag - because he gave me the gift cards I used to buy it!

He really likes it, but while I was showing the bag to him, I noticed that all 4 of the feet have scratches on the bottom with the shiny metal showing through. I have some bags with black hardware and I haven't had any problems but I know that others have had problems with black hardware chipping or scratching.

Honestly, I am not too worried about the feet, because feet get scratched, but I am worried about the rest of the hardware - especially where the strap attaches to the bag with the dogleash clips - because I am planning to carry it by the long strap.

I know if I took it back to coach they would replace it, but maybe I should return it and look for something else? If I carry it for a few months and then the scratches start showing elsewhere, what will coach do? I don't think that they give full refunds any more.

Here are pics of the feet, I'd really appreciate some advice, thanks!

Camera bag? Or a Parker?

Thanks, it really is a beauty and I was surprised to see it in the sale because I don't think that it has been out very long?

It is large, but it doesn't feel any heavier than my rogues, and the details are amazing!

i've been wanting the apricot double swagger all season, so finally i ordered it. cant wait to see if it ships. now to figure out how to sneak such a big box into the house!! i have the 39 rogue in green and love it, figure this is roughly the same size. love the detail on it. went back and forth between apricot and tobacco, but i do have a number of darker musettes, so figure this is a fun color.
