I am thinking that a Damier Speedy won't be as attractive as the Mono Speedy, rop

Your post was like a dagger to my heart! :cry: I've already pre-ordered my Damier speedy and can't wait....I genuinly feel that it will be as sassy but casual as the mono.

Oh geez, I'm sorry!! It's just my opinion (not a fact) based on pictures, I haven't even seen it IRL. From posts here, it seems like most people love it. I am just not sure about it.

The Speedy is a pretty casual, unstructured bag that develops a sag so I am thinking that the Mono pattern goes better with it than a Damier pattern would. IMO the Damier pattern looks best on structured bags like Ribera and Belem.

Am I alone in thinking this way?

I agree, too. Funny -- my hubby and I just had this exact discussion last night! He does NOT like the new Speedy I got because it's an unstructured bag. I told him I was considering the Damier until I got mine -- I think it'll look fantastic but I would just prefer the Damier on a more structured purse.

I have a damier speedy 30. It sags a lot when I fill it up with all my junk. I like the sag, though. I am always getting compliments on the bag.

I have a speedy 25 cerise and a speedy 30 in damier. The damier leather is so much thinner therefor sagging alot more. It's definately not attractive at all. It has to be pretty full not to sag at all. The monogram seems to have a stronger hold.

I think the Mono works better with the Speedy. I'm waiting to see a Daimier Batignolles -- I think that would look great.

I'm really looking forward to the Damier speedy- I think it will look fine dressed up or with jeans (which is my dress code 99% of the time!)
