Why do you want to buy all your "investment" pieces at once? You could just buy bags you like, one at a time, At Harvey Nichs or boutiques... If you have 8000 pounds to spend on bags, you can surely afford a couple without thinking of the VAT savings you'd make in Paris?
I'm just not understanding your intention :shrugs:

i can afford 8000 coz im waiting for a big cheque to come through

i would never normally (and probably wont for a long time)have that amount to spend again


so im trying to make the most of my money and thought maybe it would be worth travelling to acquire the best deals if i am buying a number of peices

I do this about 2 or 3 times a year, that is go on shopping trips abroad. Not only do you save a ton on VAT and custom fees (~40% in Iceland) but also is the selection different plus you get a fun trip out of it.
