I am curious. What is the TOP 5 brand of watches for you?

I found this on the internet somewhere and agree with it.

This is a wonderful guide, but it does not take into account the top jewelry houses that have recently begun creating special watches that are like jewelry, including Van Cleef and Arpels and Dior, for instance. These jewelry houses make some very beautiful and complicated watches that merit consideration from serious watch collectors. Many of them utilize movements from top makers like Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Yes it's just to give people some idea; it's not an exhaustive list. IMO, I prefer watches from a watchmaker rather than a jewellery maker but everyone has their own preference

What do you have currently on your collection?

I have a Longines from wedding and recently got a rolex for 40th birthday (my husband and I got rolexes for our 40th bday pressie to each other).

I did consider the Omega Ladies Deville when I was looking at Rolex Lady Justdate as there is a big price difference but decided for the Rolex and love it.

So I have a 'lower' end quartz watch and a 'higher' end automatic watch.

How do you like your Longines watch?. After considering my budget and the designs of watches I trim down my options to Longines, Tag Heuer and Baume & Mercier.

I love it - I have only been wearing the Longines since I got it over 8 years ago (I did have a Gucci watch prior to that but kind of outgrew the style). Mine looks like this one but doesn't have the little circle thing at the bottom. I liked this design as it was a little different from your typical round face watch. However, since I recently got my Rolex, the Longines is sitting at home :-)

I'll try to get a pic of both watches on my wrist so you can see them.

I know alot of people who love their Tag watches. I find them a little more 'sporty' and the newer models with the diamond bezel is too big for my wrist. I have a small wrist and find it hard to find watches that are under 28mm which is what looks best on my wrist I think.

Please take pictures if you can :) I would love to see your watches :)

I searched high and low for a watch I loved. Finally found the perfect one and I wear it everyday. It's a Gucci, and the picture makes it look ugly and dull, but it's one of the prettiest watches I've ever seen. ImageUploadedByPurseForum1434580246.141945.jpg

Since I took the camera out to snap a pic of my longines for your other thread, I finally took a pic of both watches on my wrist.

When I chose my 2nd watch (Rolex), I specifically picked a different dial face and hour marker from the first longines watch as I didn't want them too similar.
