how mad would you be if you lost a tag? it just seems stiff and HUGE to me... but it is cute.

for that kind of money i'd spring for legacy hehe... thats just me.

to save, like eveyone said cut down on everything!

ask yourself "could i live without it" pertaining to ANYTHING you want to spend money on. you'll end up putting MANY things back when you shop if you do that.

another thing is you can sell your bags on places like ebay and craigslist. i hate to part with my things, but if you are DIEHARD about getting that bag, you can resort to selling bags you don't use or like anymore, along with DVD's and electronics etc etc. goodluck honey! let us know what happens!

if i acctually stuck to my own advice maybe i could SAVE some money too! ha!

Every paycheck I take out $40 cash and put it in an old fashioned piggy bank. (Mines a big tiki head). So I will have money for when I go to FL.

Smart idea! I also read that one gal saves all her change in a big jar and when it adds up to a significant amount, she buys herself a bag. I sell off old bags to get new ones. I need to slow down though. I've bought too many bags lately and should do what krispin does, just tuck back a little at a time to reach whatever goal I set.

Suzy Orman can show you how! That's another forum. But also all the change you accumulate through the day toss that in a piggy. Set up a purse fund. Any unexpected $ showing up put that in the fund! Pray for unexpected money!

I do the same thing!! :push: I buy now and worry about my credit card statement when it comes in the mail. Yep, it's gotten me in trouble, but I always seem to get by. I just can't resist when the PCE comes out. You're just saving so much on the retail items that I can't resist. :shame:

When I want something new, I sell an old bag. I know this is not good for "collecting", but I am not much of a collector. I recently wanted the large signature multifunction tote (10080) to travel this summer and I found one on eBay. So, I sold my pebbled leather shoulder tote and actually got more money for it! I have about 5 bags that I rotate and when a new one comes in usually an old one goes up for auction!

Ok, so my DH now says that I am not allowed to spend anymore of OUR $ on bags...hehe. So, I figure if I brown bag lunch and skip the StarBucks morning run that will save me roughly $75 a week! I was averaging 5 bucks each morning at Starbucks and about $10 a day for lunch. By brownbagging it and brewing my own Java I'll save $75 a week which is approximately $300 a month!
WOW! That is how I will continue my Coach addiction and my DH can't complain about that.

Thanks for all your advice girls! I got some great ideas! The only thing is that some of you said that the bag is not all that practical as it is HUUUUGE..... It kinda got me thinking.... Perhaps, I should go for this one instead:

Coach - STRAW BASKET

Does anyone have it? Im just wondering if its large enough to put my purse and make up bag, swimming cosy, beach towel, thongs etc etc? Will it comfortably hold all these things? :shrugs:
