Soooo my order arrived finally today(12 days after ordering).

The beet wallet I ordered is Made in China??!

That said I also ordered a Grace and Daily double in Tribe. I think I rather have prince leather, but I dont want black. Also everything reeks of chemicals. I'm debating just returning everything. This order just doesnt compare to the cute little makeup bag I bought in the spring.

Sadly these days you need to check the country of origin label for everything.

Yep, most of the wallets are made in China, unfortunately not everything can be made here it'll usually say "imported" on the item description.

I own tribe stuff, never a chemical smell.. wonder if its' from being in transit so long?! heck i can have an order in like 2 days...sorry it took so long.

Thought I'd post it here too! Not wearing it till the boots arrive though. The leather sleeves are super soft, way soften than the tribe leather that I saw on other varsity jackets in the store, which puzzled me.

Super sweet! It looks so comfy, The leather sleeves look great, not dry like some of the tribe leather can be.

There seems to be two different tribe leathers... When I was in the store today, they had these little coin cases in tribe leather and some of them were super smooth and squishy and others had bad cases of psoriasis. /shrug

This is very nice! good pattern you got as well. I have noticed this in tribe too.. my newest purse by them is tribe but sometimes when i touch the same purse, it may not be as soft.

Repeating myself but yes, this is true.. though maybe typical of leathers? some parts maybe softer than others, you can often root through the SLG and find some that are softer than others.

Roots might just have loose quality control tolerances? But one issue with tribe is that it is a hand-worked/rubbed leather, so each pelt will be slightly different. Can't say I've seen much variation with Dior, Hermes Dolce & Gabbana and Louis Vuitton though.

I don't think so, My Roots bags have lasted a decade or more... and no they were not part of a rotation( i am new to bag hoarding lol) I do think the hand rubbed/worked is more the issue... that will likely cause variances.

I don't think the dry leather is necessarily worse quality, it's just that there's a lack of consistency but you're right it's most likely due to the rubbing. I know some people prefer the dryer one since they find it more "vintage".

They do say each piece is 'unique' lol i know i once saw my bag in store and was shocked how dark it was compared to mine but again that is likely the makeup of tribe.

I do like how it handles winter... pretty much gearing up to putting away the designer bags and pulling it out again...

Finally got my Pendleton wristlet. Hopefully, when it arrives it's not all grey but i have no stores close that have them and i am not driving the distances for a touch of red lol.

You could always order two and return one (to double your chances). LOL
