*fingers crossed* i hope it works out for you, at least they were willing to try. I find online soooooooooooooo annoying they barely put anything up these days and then when they do.. a BOLD SOLD OUT sign in it's place. Really? they always have quick ship i like shopping at home sometimes but the stocking of items is awful.

The stocking of my local store is pretty bad too, unless you want sweat pants or a roots onesie. :P

Made it in.. grabbed just some little things.. a nice Kale green wristlet and a hunter green small coin pouch. Pics tomorrow as it's dark & raining. The wristlet is tribe leather whereas the coin pouch is pebbled...

They look good with my Africa tribe purse :D

Thanks for pointing out the sale. I just ordered the Anna Clutch in black. I'm sick so I didn't want to infect all the shoppers at the store. I hope I like it when it arrives.

Your welcome! Join the email list, you will get presale benefits... if i could have made it in store i could have saved an extra 5% because they did an insiders extra discount and day early start since i spend very little it wasn't worth my while this time but always good to receive their correspondence.

The Anna is nice! i have seen it and almost bought one in green a few months ago...

Hi fellow roots lovers! I recently got the small grace in super prince leather in purple during the 30% off sale.

I'm now having second thoughts. The purpose of this bag is for travel and I want it to be able to go with many different outfits (I mostly wear jeans when traveling) and be able to take to nicer dinners as well. I'm wondering if the black prince leather would be better?

I'm just curious what everyone's opinion is? Should I keep the purple or return it and get the black?

Thanks!

Good deal! That;s the new beet color so ala Merlot, burgundy, wine etc in other words hot fall color by oodles of brands.

Do you own a black bag? me? i'd go with the beet because it is neutral without being typical. They always make black and Africa(Tribe) the other colors come & go...

Great bag btw, love the grace. The new super prince leather is supposed to be awesome. GL deciding!

Do you wear a lot of neutrals or a lot of color? I consider jeans a neutral. If you wear a lot of neutrals, this is a good color that adds pop to your outfit. A rich merlot is quite sophisticated imo.

If you wear a lot of colors and prints, then i agree that it will be harder to coordinate outfits and black would be easier.

Thanks! I do have a black bag but it's not super comfortable because it's got such a thin strap. When I took it on vacation my shoulder was so uncomfortable hence my search for a better purse for travel. The super prince leather does feel super luxurious! I think I might just keep the beet colour it is a really pretty colour!

I wear mostly neutrals with the occasional colours. Maybe the best colour will work for me :). Thanks!

News about Roots' change of ownership:

http://http://rootsinformation.com/about/a-letter-to-our-customers/

Let's hope they continue to make their products in Canada, and with high quality materials. It's such a big part of their identity after all.

Roots has just sold off 51% of its shares to Searchlight Financial... hopefully the brand won't change too much.

Yep. Heard about this on the radio the other day.. i completely agree i hope this isn't a negative change.
