I just ordered a taupe midi Minerva with gold hardware and gray lining. I am super excited about the sale. His prices are already so reasonable so with the additional 20% it is a steal as far as I am concerned. Of course my problem is not that I have placed an order I want the bag yesterday!!!! Oh well it will soon be here and then the spring line will be ready as well.

You are absolutely right, dfmm. Get what you want from the sale, and then have fun deciding on the the SS line. I think this was a brilliant (and very nice) surprise for us!

I know right!? I love the Africa bronze leather on a Minerva--is that too much for everyday wear? It seems like it would be a great neutral! Or I would get purple..or teal for Minerva...

jxwilliams, I don't think the bronze leather Minera would be will WILD at all. She is a subdued bag for me. I think would love her!

Thanks Moonfancy!! I love that it "goes" with kinda everything! I am thinking it would be a great everyday bag! I thought that you had the flap lengthened on one of your Minervas? If so, do you recommend that modification?

I think the Minnie is amazing. It has every thing a girl want! Some people order flaps that go down the bag, but I really think MM's original design was best

I have also been wanting a midi Minerva the original design which I think is perfect. I have taken a standard one and I also decided with the taupe that the soft gold hardware would be perfect along with the grey lining. I saw Lovies original taupe Minerva with the soft gold HW and standard grey lining and it was so stunning and versatile. You can use it as a casual and dressy bag. I also love the Massaccesi soft gold HW it is so rich looking even though I usually only select silver HW I find the soft gold is really lovely. Previously I never selected gold HW but I have gold on a number of Massaccesi bags that is because it is such a pretty HW color. It seems to look silver in some lights and gold in others.
