I like it a lot! The shape is lot more rectangular for sure. But I was worried the pavilion doesn't fall into the range you mentioned, and maybe is too deep? You mentioned cushion cut needs to see it in person, but what exactly I should look for?

Well it doesn't fall in the "Range" but like I told you before, you cannot buy a cushion on numbers. It's all visuals and scopes. Since you don't have a scope (Ideal or ASET) you can't rely on anything but your eyes.

Do you like this more than the original stone you were looking at?

Yes i do!!! Its a lot more rectangular and bigger! I took both by the window where have natural light, both of them sparkle like crazy. I think I will move forward with this 1.21ct. The numbers don't range, but the table is right on right?

Do people bring in scope to check when they do diomand shopping? Sorry if this is stupid question :)))

Not everyone even owns a personal IS or ASET. I do but that's because I am me ;) Can you imagine how nuts I look walking into a jewelry store and unfurling a plethora of tools on the counter? The SAs are like "what is the deal with this lady." And then of course I pick apart their stock and say NO. NO. NO. maybe. NO. NO. YESSSSSS. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! This one is acceptable. Take all of these rejects out of my sight.

Yea I like the table better on this. But I also do like the shape a lot more. I prefer more rectangular cushions by comparison, that's just my personal preferance. I've seen really nice square cushions, but I like them to be more elongated.

This 1.21 sounds like a winner. How is it pricewise by comparison?

You cracked me up Ame!!! Imaging you doing that in Tiffany store?! Lol!! But seriously why don't the jeweler offer these tools onsite since it's such a big purchase after all. We need to know what we are actually getting!

Price wise, it costs 7k to jump up to 1ct from .8ct, but only 3k more to 1.2 ct from 1ct. Size wise, .82ct and 1ct look very similar, so to me it's not worth the money. I will either go with .82ct or 1.21ct. Is it worth10k difference? I don't know. But bigger is always more tempting!

I think I will pull the trigger this weekend. We are also considering the matching band. This set will be my alternative set to the original. So exciting!
