Thank you MatAllston for your input and yes I will get one for sure since I cannt get it off my mind now!

Pork and Bud, thanks again for a lot of useful information! The .82 ct one is under 14k, which to me it's very reasonable considered itsTiffany. Are you still looking as well? Will you get one eventually?

I went to another Tiffany store yesterday to check on more availability. I tried on a .73 ct F vvs2, and 1.12 ct F vs1. It's priced around $12k and $23k if I remember correctly. I need to go back to first store to take a pic of .82 ct vs 1ct side by side.
I actually got mine already! DH chose a 1.17ct G VS1 and I couldn't be happier, I wear a size 3 so it looks pretty big on my hand. The next decision is whether to get the platinum or RG half diamond band to go with it.:cloud9:

I can't see a huge difference in size in the photos you posted but I'm sure that you could tell IRL. When I was looking I could tell anything over a 5 pt difference in size. They both look great so it really comes down to what you'd rather have. I never dreamt that I would get one over 1 ct, it's amazing and I still can't stop looking at it. But I really would've been ecstatic with anything in the 0.75-.99 range.

That's wonderful! Post some pictures for us to drool. Would love to see how it looks on you. My ring size is 4.25. If you don't mind, can you pm me the price? Thanks much!

Here is my very early anniversary present. They remade the ring for me since it went from a size 6 to a 3. It was supposed to be take 7 wks but it came back in 1.

^^^Wow it looks stunning on you!!! You make me want to get 1ct + too!

The link you sent from Ame is for round brilliant diamond, I think. Not sure for cushion cut its the same. I know due to the double halo cut for this ring, probably it doesn't matter that much, but still want to learn more from Ame on this type of cut.

Sorry for the tardiness. I don't remember to check in here now that it's a separate forum.

Yea that link is for rounds only. They won't help you much on this, though the CA and PA are not too terribly off.

I don't love the crown and pavilion angles on this one you posted a cert for, but the table and depth are not bad at all. I'd like a table closer to 59% on a cushion but you're dealing with something they cut for themselves so you can't typically compare it to any other cushion. Same with a Novo--those you can't really compare either. How do you feel about it in person?

If you can get one that is VS1, that's where I'd go on Clarity. No need to pay for a VVS if you can avoid it. I also don't know how you feel about shapes but I like my cushions slightly more rectangular vs more square. And they look bigger visually.

Thanks Ame! You are finally here! I like the ring a lot in person but for this double halo setting, they all look super sparkly in the store. I will ask my SA to do search for G and VS1. How about VS2? What should be the good ranges for crown and pavilion angles?

I do like the rectangular shape myself too.

VS2 would be fine too.

There aren't really set numbers for cushions, and numbers that we tend to look at vary by the type of cushion. See what they have in stock, and we'll see if we can hone in on any around 34-37 for a crown and 39-41 for pavilion. Since these are modern.

Thanks Ame! Just spoke with my SA, and she would transfer a few G, vs1 or vs2 rings in and hopefully on Friday. But she said she can't email me the spec, she can show me in person. Not sure how true it's. Anyway, cannt wait till Friday! Stay tunned.

I known this is bigger than the first one, but I looked at the ones in between like 1ct, totally not worth it. Size wise looks more like the .82 one but $7k more. So I would either go with the .82 ct or this 1.21ct.
