How to tell colour from tags?

exactly because I just checked my gg coin and my gg first from 07 and they had 2 different numbers at the end. I would assume that they'd have the same number since they're the same color. If anyone has a first in grass green or a city in french blue......I could compare my numbers.

Hmmm...maybe that number is a color/model number. So the 386 on my card translate to "truffle Day" and a "truffle Work" will have a different number??? GAH...there has to be a way to do this. :shrugs:

Hi all, What you guys just posted are really what I am looking for... Thanks for the info on the serial number on a white tag. However, I'd like your help to see what colour is this of my day bag? Sometimes it looks green but some other times it looks gray to me. :confused1: Got it sometimes ago and thinking of trading it for another new giant bb. But in a way, it looks too pretty to let go... Need your comment please....

White tag states:

Thanks all of you for trying to help. I went back to Holts to check the white card of the blue bag I was looking at and the bag didn't have the card. In fact the SA said something like "we're not even supposed to have those cards" but then found a white card in a brown bag. So confusing. I couldn't take a pic of the bag but I assume I was looking at French Blue except based on pics I've seen online it looks much, much lighter IRL.

And it would be great to figure out the colour code on the card for future reference. :)

Surely, if there was a color code, LP would have already documented it. I think it is ridiculous that they don't, btw!!! Makes for lots of mysteries and confusion!!! But that makes for more interaction on TPF, which can be fun. ;)

year, season, style, leather/finish, something mysterious

I don't know what the final 3-digit number is. I did start exploring the idea that it might be a color code - because wouldn't that be handy?? - but in the Balenciaga line lists/order forms the color codes are all 4 digits, not 3. So I dunno. Lemme know if you figure it out...;)

Thanks, alisonanna :smile1: ...
I was thinking that mine is quite similar to Dolby greeen too, but from searching, dolby has a green zipper. Or mine is the Greige one? It looks a little green, therefore it shouldn't be a Taupe (light brown) right?
Would be great if there is really a colour code documentation! Anyone know, tell me pleasssse :shrugs:

Thanks Azure! And I was so embarassed for my typo of Dolma as dolby :p
Yes, it's hard to take a photo to get the right colour and agreed that may be it's the way it pictured and the lighting...

I couldn't find this answer in the reference library section which explains the year and season but some colours have the same number/letter (so they both came out in the same SSN and the same year which is fine), but is there a way to confirm on the tag what colour the bag is that you have? or is it the cards that confirm the colour?

Thanks.

Well, you can narrow it down, but for example with Bordeaux and Rouge Theatre, the same numbers & letters would be on both cards & inner tag even though one was pre-fall and the other was fall.

Since I had this info out to add to another thread, I will post it here as well. These are the letters and the year they represent. At least knowing the year and season a bag is from will help narrow down the choices. Let's say that your having trouble identifying a blue bag, knowing what season the bag is from will help narrow the possiblity's. This letter can be found in the second row on the front of the silver tag, following the numbers.
