How successful will Gucci be not having sales anymore?

My take on this is simple,
As long as I still can see some new stuff at TJMaxx this whole "We are not going to have any sales anymore" schematic is just bluff and is not going to work out.
And mind you I have seen so many varieties of Blooms and all the new collection at my TJMaxx.
Where is this TJMaxx? I've never seen anything Gucci at TJMaxx. I didn't even know Gucci did sales twice a year until about 8 months ago. Offering luxury items at TJMaxx seems like a quick way to cheapen a brand. I think that does more damage to a brand than having semiannual sales on your on terms IMO.

There are runway tj maxx stores. Check their website and locations they list which are runway stores. I often see Gucci pieces, Valentino, etc. not huge selections at one time but anywhere from 1-3 pieces at a time.

I have heard from several sources that the new strategy is to hold new merchandise from the outlets for up to 2 years. They're currently selling back stock of Frida's in the outlets, but Alessandro's stuff (which is selling well at full price right now) will be held before being sent to the outlets. So no more sales, and a delay before merchandise shows up in the outlets.

Well, I don't think this is true either because the Green Bloom items have shown up at the outlets. If you see some of them on ebay, they have receipts coming from Gucci outlets. These items are not on Gucci.com anymore and they are at the outlets immediately after, so in my opinion, there's no holding back Alessandro's stuff.

I purchased a blue blooms item at Winners TJMaxx at the last runway event so this makes sense to me too.

Plenty at outlets including YOOX. Gucci are evidently too big to maintain control policies ww

ON another thread there is a post about how Saks is having a sale on Gucci jewellery and watches - so as long as other retailers that Gucci sells to can have sales (in addition to their outlets) I don't see how Gucci's "no sales" strategy is going to work though I suppose Gucci could be in the process of renegotiating its agreements with other retailers.

Is Gucci making Made-for-Outlet versions of certain (all?) styles?

For instance, the Blooms...or the Swing collection?

Or are these pieces now in outlets from boutiques, because they're being phased out/discontinued/updated/low inventory?

All the bloom and swing pieces i have seen here and there in the outlet are the same purses and slg's from the website and Gucci boutique. Nothing different about them that I could tell. Bloom pieces started coming in MONTHS ago in my Outlet store. The Boston bloom duffle in blue was gorgeous! They also keep a fair amount of swing totes in stock. It's the Gucci at the Outlet shoppes of the bluegrass in Kentucky.

This is a question that is often asked: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/what-made-for-outlet-means.927837/

Left over materials from certain lines are made into MFO stock most likely very simple shapes with minimum labour involved like flat pouches etc. It's a way of limiting wastage (and thereby losses) and feeding outlets between deliveries from original store merch.
