It depends very much on the bag and why I've got it. Few weeks ago I got a MK bag and it is just sitting in my closet. A week ago I got a Givenchy tote and I used it the next day. I'm waiting now my Coach Tabby Pillow. I was very excited to get the bag a few weeks ago but unfortunately the shop sent me the wrong bag. Now I'm getting a replacement (hopefully the right bag) but I don't feel that excited. Maybe I won't use that one straight away. The only thing that excites me now is that I loved the aqua color of the wrong bag so I'm getting the aqua instead of light coral color :D

I usually wear my bags right away. I do have one bag that I bought in 2018 that I have not worn yet. I think that I need to donate it though. It just doesn't fit my lifestyle. For some reason I have hard time letting it go. There is not sentimental reasoning behind it either.

Good question.

Lately I have asked for it to be sent so I don't have to lug the box or extra bag around - that delays thing a bit.

Either I wear it almost straight away (see above) because I've been waiting for it - or conversely, I could wait months and months, usually because it's new season and I'm not feeling like wearing a Winter bag in the sunshine (or seasonally the other way round) or I'm not going to use a clutch to work. It doesn't matter to me TBH, once they're mine, they're mire. I am a master of delayed gratification :D

I bought 2 bags last month and the first is still in the dust bag with tags on since I haven’t had the right occasion for it. After inspecting the second one, I immediately loaded it up with my things, pulled off the tag and wore it to the next store. But I bought them for different purposes - the first being a cute little black bag for nights out and the second is an everyday bag.

loading up a new bag before I get it home is something I've never done :)
