how soon after buying do you use a new bag?

I used to use a bag immediately. Like the same day I got it or the next day. Now for some reason, I wait a while and maybe use it for the first time when I have some occasion, like a trip.
I know there are some people who buy bags and never use them because we see bags sold that have never been used.

If I love it enough to buy it, when possible I wear it out of the store and don’t take box, dustbag or other.

For the vast majority of bags I buy, I'll wear them within a week of buying them, as soon as I put together a cute outfit for "our first time out together" LOL. There have been a couple that haven't felt quite right for the season -- got a beige tweed bag for Christmas one year that I didn't end up wearing until late spring.

Some of the bags I see at the store and really like it. Then, I take it home and it's just not my style. I'm happy taking it out from time to time just to look at it as it's limited pieces, but I would never use it.

That would be the sane thing to do. However, I have a bad bag addiction. I've never returned or sold any of my bags. Most people do one in and one out. I do all ins and nothing out, so now it's becoming a problem.

a lot...my husband tells me that I need to see a therapist . I just wanted to clarify that not all the bags are luxe. About half are luxe and half are contemporary. I don't really care who makes the bags as long as I like them.

Often a purchase ends up in use immediately I get my hands on it or get it home from the store. Sometimes if I buy a big bag I might just put my things and the bag I left home with in the new bag, no matter if I picked up the purchase from a store or the post office.

If I've bought a bag for an upcoming trip or a new job I take the bag to use when the job or trip is coming up. I might try out the bag beforehand to make sure it's comfortable to carry or if it fits enough.
Sometimes purchases might wait for a while. It's usually because of the things I have going on - I might not use a clutch right after purchasing it if I have a lot of things to carry every day, for example.

Sometimes bags are love at first sight, but then the glow wears off and I have buyer's remorse. So I generally have a cooling off period, from a week to a month, to make sure I really love it and want to keep it.

These are both typically the case for me too. I unbox and play with my new bags as soon as they arrive but I like to plan a special outfit for the first time I wear one. Although sometimes it’s just an everyday outfit that I realize a new bag would work with and then I pull it out.
