How often do you take off your regular sized Love bracelet?

On my left wrist I have the three thin bangles (rose, yellow, white). Those never come off.....on my right wrist I wear the cuffs (and interchange with clic H; TiffanyT and clou de juste) - right wrist usually comes off at night and left wrist with the three full thin bangles never comes off...

I took mine off for an MRI, I didn’t realize there was anything they can do so I didn't have to!
Do you know if this is common practice? I was worried as I have to have one every year now and I really didn’t want to have to take my love off every year :/
If I remember correctly, gold jewelries are okay for MRI scans because they’re not magnetic. I did take off my cartilage and belly piercings because those were made of surgical steel (magnetic). The only concern was that the gold bracelet would heat up and be uncomfortable for me. With the aluminum protection, the Love still got a bit warm and there were small vibrations here and there, but overall felt pretty okay.

I can assure U that u don’t hv to remove your love for MRI as I go for brain MRI very frequently. I Hv done that in diff hospital and diff countries. It’s not magnetic. Also not required to remove for CT scan too. chill ya. I go for week long hospital IV treatment every 2 months, and my love always stay on my wrist. Be it in the mri or CT scan machine, even x ray

I had an MRI last year and wore it. They just scan it with a wand to make sure it isn’t magnetic.

Thank you all for the MRI info! Next time its staying on!!!

I go for frequent IV therapy and have a scope every few months, I never take it off for those, but when I started MRI they told me to remove everything. Next one I will dispute it.
I used to be asked remove *everything* till I got my love many years ago and I was at Ramsay hospital in Sydney - struggle trying to remove the love, they told me “oh that famous bangle, u don’t have to. Keep it on. It’s gold and not magnetic.”

Since then, I will tell the other hospital imaging Dept, they are all ok with it. Been doing so for past 7-8yrs

I wear a regular RG love and a thin pave love and I rarely take them off. Just as you said, only 1-2 times a year for travel abroad to certain places or medical procedures. Last summer, I tripped and fell on asphalt and scraped up both bracelets very very badly along the corner edges. I literally heard the scraping sound of metal against asphalt when I fell down. I was without them for a month or so while they were at the Cartier spa getting refurbished, which they did beautifully and it's as if nothing happened. (I had to pay a small fee.) I actually think the bracelets saved me from breaking my wrist! Or so I tell my DH to justify the cost. :P

The locking mechanism has not gotten looser over time for me and I've not had issues with it coming apart except for one occasion. For a little while I was wearing my JUC with my stack, and I do think the clanging of the heftier JUC against my love caused it to come apart one day. My plain love is about 10 years old, so does not have the newer locking mechanism with more security. My SA told me I could bring it in to have it upgraded, but I haven't had the chance to do that. You shouldn't have that issue with a current love. No issues with the pave, which has a different locking mechanism.

Both my bracelets have sentimental value as they were gifts related to certain milestones, so I enjoy wearing them and would not trade them for anything. I always wear the 2 bracelets, and depending on mood, will add my JUC, Hermes, or VCA bracelet. I forget I have them on most of the time and there's no anxiety around taking them on/off or even scratching them because I know the spa can fix it! No regrets!

P.S. Also no issues going through airport security, since that's a topic that comes up. I travel in the US and internationally, and I probably set off the metal detector about 75% of the time. The times I set it off, I go through the full body scanner or get pat down, which adds an extra 2-3 minutes, so no biggie.
Thanks for the helpful response!! When you described your bracelet scraping against the asphalt :wtf: So glad you were able to get it repaired! I am so tempted to exchange for the full bracelet now.. I am hearing from others, too, that the new mechanism is much more secure

I take mine off 2-3 times per year when I change my stack. It has never caused a problem. The only time the screws have loosened is when I wear 3 together while running and they clang up and down my arm. Now that I secure them in place with hair ties or a wrist band the screws do not loosen.
Yes, I'm so glad to hear this! I don't anticipate taking it off at all, but realistically I feel like 1-2 times a year life will throw a situation my way where I will have to do it for one reason or another. How long have you had your bracelets?

I’ve had mine for 6-7 years and have never taken it off (not even once) for anything… I do Muay Thai (Thai boxing) a few times a week and the screws have not gotten loose at all from the punching and kicking during sparring. I also did an MRI scan wearing my Love once. I told them I didn’t want to take it off so they wrapped it with aluminum foil to prevent it from heating up and vibrating. And as other people have mentioned,, airport security has never been a problem (Asia, Europe and US for me).

This is so good to know! MRIs are exactly what I had in mind when I asked my question.. I unexpectedly had to get one last year and they insisted I take off all my jewelry. Thanks for the information

My regular is new and I have to check the screws weekly. I’d say about twice/month I have to tighten them.
