How often do you take off your regular sized Love bracelet?

I purchased a love cuff but am debating whether to exchange for a full bracelet. I love the look and feel of the regular love bracelet but am totally leary about the screws loosening/stripping or being a source of anxiety over many years. I know I can wear a bracelet 24/7, but it's the 1-3 times in the year I anticipate I might take it off that worries me, like medical procedures/tests, heavy yard work, traveling abroad in the summer to places I don't want to be flashy, etc.

If you have a regular love, how many times do you take it off and has your bracelet's locking mechanism gotten looser over time? In hindsight would you have gotten the cuff? I really like the cuff, too, but all things being equal of course I would prefer the full bracelet. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

The only time I've taken my regular Love off was when I went in for a colonoscopy last week. Otherwise, I never take it off. If you're doing house/yard work, then people have recommended wearing a tennis wristband to cover it, so you don't get it banged up. The regular Love is not meant to be frequently taken on and off, it's meant to be worn 24/7, so I would consider that before exchanging your cuff.

I wear a regular RG love and a thin pave love and I rarely take them off. Just as you said, only 1-2 times a year for travel abroad to certain places or medical procedures. Last summer, I tripped and fell on asphalt and scraped up both bracelets very very badly along the corner edges. I literally heard the scraping sound of metal against asphalt when I fell down. I was without them for a month or so while they were at the Cartier spa getting refurbished, which they did beautifully and it's as if nothing happened. (I had to pay a small fee.) I actually think the bracelets saved me from breaking my wrist! Or so I tell my DH to justify the cost. :P

The locking mechanism has not gotten looser over time for me and I've not had issues with it coming apart except for one occasion. For a little while I was wearing my JUC with my stack, and I do think the clanging of the heftier JUC against my love caused it to come apart one day. My plain love is about 10 years old, so does not have the newer locking mechanism with more security. My SA told me I could bring it in to have it upgraded, but I haven't had the chance to do that. You shouldn't have that issue with a current love. No issues with the pave, which has a different locking mechanism.

Both my bracelets have sentimental value as they were gifts related to certain milestones, so I enjoy wearing them and would not trade them for anything. I always wear the 2 bracelets, and depending on mood, will add my JUC, Hermes, or VCA bracelet. I forget I have them on most of the time and there's no anxiety around taking them on/off or even scratching them because I know the spa can fix it! No regrets!

P.S. Also no issues going through airport security, since that's a topic that comes up. I travel in the US and internationally, and I probably set off the metal detector about 75% of the time. The times I set it off, I go through the full body scanner or get pat down, which adds an extra 2-3 minutes, so no biggie.

I never take mine off. The screws used to loosen when I first bought it, but I had them "enhanced", and they don't loosen anymore. The new bracelets come with enhanced screws and I believe they are pretty secure.

I’ve had mine for 6-7 years and have never taken it off (not even once) for anything… I do Muay Thai (Thai boxing) a few times a week and the screws have not gotten loose at all from the punching and kicking during sparring. I also did an MRI scan wearing my Love once. I told them I didn’t want to take it off so they wrapped it with aluminum foil to prevent it from heating up and vibrating. And as other people have mentioned,, airport security has never been a problem (Asia, Europe and US for me).

I took mine off for an MRI, I didn’t realize there was anything they can do so I didn't have to!
Do you know if this is common practice? I was worried as I have to have one every year now and I really didn’t want to have to take my love off every year :/

I basically never take mine off.
I think I took it off once when I had to go to a very sketchy area.

But I’ve worn it on flights, when I shower, clean, gym, etc.
Airport TSA didn’t even bat an eye and I didn’t set off any alarms. This is based on my most recent flight a couple of weeks ago within the states.

I have the new model/version. When I first got it, the screws used to loosen up about every 2 weeks. It did that for a couple months. Now it’s pretty much set, no issues.

If you know in your heart you prefer the full bracelet, get that. I have a cuff though and love it.....because I like to take my jewelry off to sleep.

I take mine off 2-3 times per year when I change my stack. It has never caused a problem. The only time the screws have loosened is when I wear 3 together while running and they clang up and down my arm. Now that I secure them in place with hair ties or a wrist band the screws do not loosen.
