How often do you clean your e-ring or have it checked???

Which Sparkle Sparkle did you gals get? I have a white gold e-ring and a plat wedding band.

I only have yellow gold jewelry, so it was a no-brainer to get the gold cleaner. I do believe that they have an all purpose cleaner for silver and such. I just went to look it up on their website to see what they suggest and if they really do have an all-purpose cleaner and I, of course, got an error message. So, I would defer to what AME recommended or call them (1-800-535-4980) or check their website (http://www.nventa.com/sparklesparkle/index.php).

I am still amazed as to how much my diamond e-ring sparkles since using it. I did my diamond studs today, unfortunately I do not see those as much :p

I buy Plat because all of my rings are Plat, but Id go with gold since you have a white gold ring. The gold works better for rings that were rhodium plated (white gold) and will still do a great job on your Plat.

Great! I have a wg e-ring and a plat wedding band and was wondering if I should get the all-purpose or the gold one.

Is it cheaper to buy straight from the manufacturer or is there a cheaper place to buy this stuff?

:graucho:

There aren't many vendors to purchase it from, so I just buy straight from the manufacturer at Nventa.com. Id love to see it pop up elsewhere though.

Id get gold, definitely. I mean you can use Plat but I don't think your plating on you white gold ring would hold up as long as it otherwise would.

I have the "Everyday Cleaner" as well and I don't prefer it to the original. Its fine in a pinch but it doesn't get AS clean in my opinion.

I take mine to a local shop that I've had dealings with. But since I have my own loupes and stuff I usually check for loose stones, etc, myself and then see them for repairs if I find any.

Just wanted to add that I use a Sephora FACE brush to clean my diamond rings and it's awesome. I use the dish detergent + warm water route but I find that this brush really gets in there and scrubs things clean but is still VERY VERY VERY gentle. Prefer this over any old "soft" toothbrush.

Just $5

I'll get Sparkle Sparkle now and can't wait to see the results!

:) Can't wait to hear about it!

I use the little brush that comes in the little red jar. I dump the solution out, recycle the jar and save the brush and tray!

I think I'm obsessed with keeping my e-ring looking clean and sparkly. Especially since I get free cleanings and there is a Tiffany near my house. My DF and I go have gone to this location so often previously to us buying my ring that even the security guard recognizes us! The other day we brought my ring in and he saw us, told us there was a long line but that he would take of it. He took my ring and in less than 5 min he was back and I was on my way!

I am a little embarrassed that all the SAs and even the SGs know me and my DF (I like to shop in anonymity sometimes, esp when I'm just browsing and not buying) so I feel like I need to go to another Tiffany to get my items cleaned!

I clean my ring maybe twice a week. Would do it everyday if DF didn't give me those weird looks each time I did! Haha he jokes that at this rate I'll need to buy my dish detergent for my ring in Costco size! But what he doesn't know is that I checked! And they don't have it! Haha

I use the palmolive no ammonia clean green? Or clean something line that supposedly has less chemicals and they smell really good too. In that oh so clean fragrance!

As for prongs, I check maybe once a week with a loope because it's just so fun. I'm sure this will become less frequent... Probably.... I think...

Awww but it's all included in the price you pay! So no worries! Besides with all that pave I wouldnt want anyone else to clean it. You just got engaged recenty so that ring needs center stage!

what a great thread! i barely wear my rings anymore because i used to wear them ALL THE TIME and they would get so dirty so fast. so to take care of them, i would clean them every other day or so with mr clean and ammonia and a toothbrush. but then i ended up loosening a diamond in the pave setting, which a jeweler told me was natural if i scrub too hard or use a toothbrush with stiff bristles. so i got it polished (i have platinum bands) and just stopped wearing it as much because i hate when it gets dirty. now that i know i'm not the only one who likes her rings super clean and finally figured out you cant damage the plat with too much cleaning, i think i'll start wearing my rings more often!

Have you been using the Sparkle Sparkle? I am dying to know what you think!

Id like to say it became less frequent but uh it hasn't. I have made myself reserve it for once a week plus whack inspections. It's a sickness.

I actually use Mr. Clean and hot water sometimes for soaks, but usually the Sparkle Sparkle and hot water. I clean my rings every night. Sometimes in the morning too. And I super dry them after I wash my hands. With dish soap. lol.
