Ok girls, I've been thinking. I find my oak darwin bays a bit heavy at times, and I was wondering if I should get the nvt instead.

Hoped this thread would give me a clear indication of how much a darwin/nvt bays weighs, but not sure. The weighed ones vary from 900+ grams to 1200+ grams.

What do you think, girls? Is it worth selling mine, and buying a new one?

Thea, if the weight really bothers you then I say go for it. I was amazed at the difference between my black Darwin Bays (now gone) and my black goatskin Bays. It's only a difference of 367 grams, but it sure is noticeable when the bag is full!

Thea, the weight can make a big difference. My old choc darwin Bays, a very early specimen, was so heavy I had to let it go. Beginning of this year it was replaced with a NVT with normal weight and it is a whole different bag, now I can have things in it also :happydance:

Ups, forgot to follow up on this thread after I posted a month ago, sorry!

Thanks so much for your replies KLP and lakrits! I keep thinking I want to swap it for an nvt one. I'm most likely going to London in Oct, hopefully I can get my nvt one there :smile:

I was thinking of selling my somerset tote as I've never really used it. A great bag but I'm not sure oak is really me, & also I'm not sure about it being open at the top. However it is so light & smells divine! I've never used the belle either - is that cos it's also oak?? Also I think alana might have to go, as I need a bag that can be handheld as well as shoulder held, & it's heavy for its size. Although I do get nice comments about it, & it's great to carry on the shoulder. But THEN I could afford something else! :graucho:
I'd be really interested in weights of the bayswater / east west bays / ledbury / roxanne / rosemary / antony as all these are on my possibles list!!

This is my first reply on this site - only just joined so hello everyone. My white East West Bayswater weighs exactly 700gm.
