How many years do you expect that your new LV will be "in style'?

My first LV bag was a Tivoli GM (2013 or 14?). It was in style, then it wasn’t. My next 2 bags from them were classics (Neverfull then an Alma). I got a lot more wear out of them. That being said, if someone loves their trendy bag, then just keep rocking it.
When you get comfortable enough and perhaps older, you don’t care. I have bags more than 20 years old I still wear. I buy what I love. If I don’t love it anymore or it doesn’t suit my needs I sell or donate or give away.
I am too poor to buy crazy season pieces just for a summer, so I only have classics that have been around for 30-50-90 years already.
I missed out the first time around but always wanted the Ellipse PM. 2 years ago after hunting for a year I found an authentic, like new one and bought it. Imagine my surprise when LV came out with a new version with white trim, this year. Goes to show bags go in and out of style!
Forever because I don't care. If I love it, that's all that matters.
So true! If you keep things long enough (bags, shoes, clothes) the style always comes back! I always loved the ellipse.
I don’t care if something goes out of trend, I will wear what I want as I please!
Most of my designer bags are classics, and most of my high street bags are trendy or somewhat classics.
I carry what I like and what suits my needs. My City bags might be enjoying a little resurgence these days, for example, but that doesn't mean I like them any more or carry them any more often than I did before. Anyone is welcome to look at whatever bag I'm carrying and say or think "oh, that bag is dated!" and I'm 100% happy to ignore that person.
I don’t care if people think what I’m carrying is trendy or dated, I definitely buy what I like and if I don’t I don’t buy it! The only bag I bought recently that I think I’ll not keep is the Palm Springs Mini, and that’s because it’s just not my style.
My husband bought a Viva Cite that I selected many years ago and at the time I really liked it. I got a lot of use out of it, grew tired of it and sold it several years later. The style no longer fit my needs. I try to be mindful of my purchases/choices but if something doesn’t work for me I don’t feel badly selling it as long as I got some use out of it.
Most of mine are classics, and the couple that might not be I’ll still wear as long as I like them. I don’t live in an area where luxury goods are seen often, so no one knows the difference anyway.
I have many older LV's-perhaps 20 year old's. They just sit in my closet. I do not want to sell them, but somehow I feel many of them are "dated" looking. They are in EXCELLENT shape though.. I have some classics-Speedy's and Almas that I do wear.
I still have my Tivoli GM that I bought when It was released..I never use it but can’t get myself to sell it, I did use it a lot when I bought …..maybe I need to pull it out and use it..
