How many years do you expect that your new LV will be "in style'?

Exactly this. I bought it because it was durable, stylish and fir my aesthetic. Buy once use forever.
I truly enjoy pulling out pieces in excellent condition that people haven't seen coming and going in recent years, I definitely get some confused comments sometimes... like wow is that a new style, etc. Love walking into the LV stores near my home with pristine 20 year old bags, many of the SA's I know here in Hawaii who are really into their brand often seem to love seeing them.

Hahaha. Pull out something unseen and brand new and show it to the SAs. Shock them! That's really fun.

Most of the SAs in my store now are so young, they were children when I started collecting.

Yep a lot of young ones these days who don't know the products, but I still have a few here that have been around a solid 20 years so they remember quite a bit!

I have around 14 LV bags from 1995-2020. Some are LE and some discontinued. I’ll use them all for the rest of my life.I consider them all classics in their own way. I bought my Tivoli gm right when it was announced it was being discontinued. I absolutely love that bag and consider it a real beauty. I also adore my denim baggy, I think it’s from around 2008. It’s so light, easy and fun to use. It’s size is deceptive as it holds a lot. It always looks great with a casual outfit.

The old version looks great on you
I think the person in the photo is kristin chenoweth. I am big fan of her’s from Wicked days. I have this bag and it still looks great even still. I have to say my speedy B looks great as it did when I purchased it when it first came out. Only complaints I have of vintage purses is that straps are not detachable. But that is a small problem, even if that. LOL

When I was young and cared about everyone’s opinions I stuck to what was in style. Now that I’m a bit older I wear what I want. I could care less what people think of my clothing style or how old and new my bag is. For instance I use to exhaust myself researching a bag and caring what people thought of it. Today I ordered the Loop Hobo. I’m aware of all the concerns, opinions, pros and cons and quality of the bag. I don’t care though I like the looks of hobo bags. I hope to love it! If I do, I’m going to wear the bag and enjoy it.

I have three LV bags and only one is new(Diane), the other two are 34 and 31 years old so it's safe to say I don't buy based on trends. The closest I get to "trendy" are my Multicolore agenda & wallet. The new styles are cute but the classic styles are timelessly beautiful

Honestly no one's opinion but mine factors into anything I buy. I could not care less if something is in style, all that matters is if I like it. My other purse obsession is vintage 80s bags, like those tacky old Sharifs and Liz Claibornes which have been out of style for several decades now but I still wear them all the time. I'm too old to care if some stranger doesn't like my purse lol.
