Trouble is, there is a bag that I LOVE that only comes in 30 and 35, (with no B) and I am soooooo tempted to get the 30, because it’s beautiful, but worry that I won’t use it and will find it too large.
Also, does not have a strap…I look back at my collection and noticed that I have several bags that were used in rotation many years ago that only have handles and no shoulder or crossbody strap! I hardly remember using them, but I did!

Is 30 realllly that much bigger than 25? Honesty? And do you miss having a strap when you carry your non B version?

OK, so, here's my opinion: Sorry, but yes, a 30 really is a lot bigger than a 25. I have the 25 B in
empreinte, and I just returned a canvas speedy B 30 because it was way too big. It's not the carrying capacity that was the problem, it's that when worn (especially cross-body), the 30 sticks out from the body a LOT more than the 25 does. For me, it feels and looks awkward. It probably doesn't matter as much if you're a hand-carry girl, but I need a strap!

You can buy a strap separately and hook it to the handle hardware. Some SAs will warn against this and some members here have done it with no problems, so it's really up to you. It may be a way to justify the bag you love!

Someone just started a thread called What do you carry in your Speedy 25 (or something like that), and it always surprises me just how much this bag carries.

Yeah, I was afraid of that answer. I actually knew that it's not practical for me but boy is it gorgeous!!! Thank you for thinking that through for me.

Glad it was helpful. Sometimes the only thing worse than not getting a bag we love is knowing it won't work for us, getting it anyway and then watching it sit in the closet (or selling it at a loss). Eventually, there will be another bag you love just as much that works better!

For speedy lovers in this thread who own the B 25 in Damier Azur, do you mind sharing how it wears over time?
I'm seriously considering getting a Speedy B 25, but can't make up my mind on what to get. As it's spring/summer in NZ I'm really tempted by the fresh and light look of DA :cool:
I own a neverfull in DE so i want to venture out to try other canvas prints. Also I've got quite a few other dark coloured bags.
Not living near a boutique I don't get access to trying the bags out in person so I'm purchasing it through my personal shopper based Europe.
With the monogram, I'm a bit reluctant as I've seen it on lots of people on the street. With the DA which attracts me first by its look, do you think it's hard to dress? And also how it ages (I've never owned any DA so not sure). I wouldnt wanna see it get yellower over time :sad:

I'm eager to hear the replies on DA and it's wear/tear over time. I have one speedy now (25b noir NM empreinte) and one on the way (25b in DE). Speedy is my most beloved bag and most used. I plan to continue the collecting of the bandouliere models (need a shoulder wear option).

It wears well. Have had mine about two years but only carry it in Spring and summer. No color transfer experience at all and I wear denim often. It's a great bag and very attractive.

I have had mine for about 15 months. I also wear it in Spring/Summer and early Autumn. No color transfer, the vachetta has a nice light honey color no patina and the bag is clean all over. I also love the Speedy model. I have the DA, DE and Aurore Empreinte with the bandouliere and the mono in the old version. I would advise to buy the DA as well and I am sure you will love it too. It is such a happy print especially for Spring/Summer :)

Yay Thank you Blingthang! Love, love your collection! I've been waiting for this picture! Didn't you used to have a Mirage Speedy? I see you got the new World Tour. I've been eyeing that one myself. Do you have a current favorite?

Thanks, Irishlas! I never had a Mirage but would love one. I don't really have a favorite. I love them all. But I lusted after the MC and Cerises for years before I got them.
