How many pairs is enough?

Shoes kinds walk into my closet without me even noticing, and I still never have enough that I can actually walk in and feel comfortable all day. I have not counted. I must have getting near 100 pairs, although I did have a massive clear out last autumn

I used to spend the most money on the shoes I wear least which now I realise is silly

My last 4 pairs have deliberate attempts to buy better shoes I will wear, we shall see...

For me it depends on how much space I have. Moved into a new house and vowed to not buy more then what fits in my closet for both shoes and handbags. Buy one one must go. Bough IKEA shoe wardrobe and what fits in there is it. Buy more get rid of more. I hate clutter

29* total: 15 flats, 14 heels. I wear flats the majority of the time, but I force myself to wear heels on occassion to justify owning them.

*(+2 misc knock around shoes)

I've capped myself at 50 pairs of shoes and 10 pairs of boots (^(oo)^)v

All heels or wedges ....I don't wear flats, except 1 pair of trainers for working out :choochoo:

Limit? I know no such word lol

In all honesty you can only and judge for yourself when enough is enough. I own 60-70 pairs with 20 or so high end designer and about 15 pairs which are either sentimental or I havent had the chance to give away to goodwill. I tend to spend the money on classic shoes and trendy/"im not quite in love with" I leave for the high street. Once every couple of years I do a cull of shoes which I dont wear or Im not feeling. I do make an effort to share the love with my shoes :)

There was a time I felt I had bought too many shoes - did not feel right and I did not love all of them. I stopped buying for a season and sold some. I'm afraid I have started buying again! :thinkin:
At the moment, these are the numbers: court shoes 9, ballet pumps 7, knee-length boots 5, moccassins 3, loafers 3, sandals 3, slippers 3, trainers 3, boots 2, pumps 2, wedges 1, flip-flops 1. Dear me, that's a lot! :amazed:

I store most of them in their boxes with a picture attached so I can easily see what's inside:

That is such a great idea. I have thought about that but haven't gone through with it. Also many of my shoes don't come with boxes. I could always use the clear plastic tubs- it would inspire me to put them away after wearing!

Nice to read that I'm not the only one with so many shoes. In my family/circle of friends I am the only one. They call me Imelda...
