How long did it take you to get used to wearing a watch?

I have yet to find it comfortable for me to wear a watch.. I just go without one.. but I do feel naked with my rings and bracelet.. xD

Funny you say that...I used to wear the Until there's a cure bracelet on the left, and the watch on the right...I haven't worn either in a while, but normally I only wear my rings ...if that.

Perhaps it is a generational thing, as studies actually indicate that fewer young people wear watches than their older counterparts. My mother, who always wears a watch and who feels it is imperative for a responsible adult to wear one, made me wear a watch beginning when I was a freshman in high school. I wore a watch daily without fail for 4 years. When I went to University, I took it off and haven't worn one since. I didn't like it when I was a teenager, and I don't like it now. I do wear bracelets, and I don't know why I feel comfortable with that and not a watch, but watches just aren't for me.

However, anything will become habit if you do it enough, even if you don't particularly like it. I did feel like I was missing something when I would forget a watch while in high school, much like the sinking feeling you get if you think you have forgotten your purse somewhere.

If I go out without a watch on I always have the sense that something is missing and I sometimes feel like I have lost something. I probably started wearing a watch when I was five. I don't think it should take very long to get use to it. Once you do, you will not want to take it off!

I never wore a watch in college or law school. My mom bought me a watch for Christmas after I had been out of school one year b/c she said I needed to grow up... :p I think it took a month or so to get used to it. However, I don't like the feel of a leather band/bracelet- only metal for me.

Argh, your bunny is ridiculously cute.

I'm pretty sure I was born wearing a watch,LOL!!! I actually had to get use to taking it off everynight when I got my new one! I would NEVER take my old watch off! I am a lefty as well, but I have always worn my watch on my right hand.

I've worn a watch since I was 12 - always have one on. I feel a bit lost if I don't have a watch on (similarly so now that I've gotten used to wearing a ring and a bracelet - it just feels sort of naked if I'm not wearing them).

If I'm not mistaken, AME...you got the Invicta, right? I have one, too. The case is deep and large but you will get used to it! On the plus side, big enough that you can read the time well. When you get used to it you'll never want to be without.

I have worn a watch since 6th grade. If I leave the house for even a short period of time, I don't feel right without my watch. I've tried recently to move my tennis bracelet to my left wrist & not wear my watch. Can't do it. lol

My nieces are 23 & 27. Neither wore watches until recently & that is just my older niece who wears a cheap watch with a second hand for work; she is a physical therapist. Her boyfriend gave her a ceramic watch for Christmas so she wears it regularly.

I did get the invicta. It's a little large but the last watch I wore was a gigantic mens titanium fossil so this is actually a tiny bit smaller though has a leather band.

I do like that I can read it easily, and from most angles!

I'm not a watch wearer either Ame. I love the look, but wonder if I would ever get in the habit of putting it on every day.
I am working on it. I put it on in the morning for sure. I have been taking it off after work as I go to the gym and don't want to sweat with it on.

i've always worn a watch, since i started learning how to tell time, i got a swatch watch :D
till this day i even sleep with my rolex haha.

but i get your problem, my fiance does not like to wear watches at all, so what he did is get a really light watch, one with leather straps. he has a patek, it weighs almost nothing and it's really comfortable.
